maligned
Here's an update to 3A State Duals qualifying scores. Scores here are now taking shape, but they still reflect only about 50% of the final picture. You can see that some schools have enormous contingencies left that will score huge points, while others with 6 or less at semi-state will struggle to stay in contention. There are also still a few schools in the 15-25 range that will make big jumps up the ladder. It seems like we'll mostly end up with traditional big dogs in auto bid territory, but there are a couple upstarts (Valpo, Jennings County, for example) that have a lot of guys left and good draws at semi-state that could try to steal a bid. This week, first round wins get you 6 (for underclassmen) and 5 (for seniors), while second round wins get you another 3 points for all grade levels. I would estimate still that about 185 should get you in or near auto bid territory and about 170+ should get you into voting consideration. Current semi-state auto bid leaders (4): Warren Central, Brownsburg, Penn, Carroll Current wildcard auto bid leaders (6): Portage, Perry Meridian, Mater Dei, Valparaiso, Lawrence North, Cathedral [table]Class 3A TeamsTotalStill Alive Pts. maligned
We posted scores before finishing the final cross-check on data from the 4 Evansville feeder regionals. Just a small change to Brownsburg. Everything is "official" now aside from possible classification changes in March.
