Fabian Chavez was an assistant coach who?d been serving in the interim role since head coach Darrick Snyder was suspended with pay in November ? in the wake of charges of criminal deviant conduct against six teenagers for allegedly attacking a student-wrestler in a locker room in 2010. The school?s wrestling season ended two weeks ago. And Tuesday, the School City of Mishawaka board approved Chavez?s resignation, which was effective Feb. 21.
