does that say "we will be using mat side pairing this year"?....there is a god...lol......my boys have wrestled at this tournament and i have also worked at it for many years.....this will be a great comparison to see how much smoother and quicker it goes.....they made the crucial first step.....weigh ins the night before and via satellite only.....none the morning of.....this gets things easily started on time by doing all the brackets the night before......good call coach kern......and also congrats on your 3 state placers....

We have had circumstances out of our control the past 2 years:  Medical issues, children and their shananigans, and glitches in track wrestling!  We talked about many ways to speed the tournament up.  We felt that matside pairings was the best way to do so this year.

Anybody willing to lend a hand who has experience in matside pairings is will be welcomed with open arms!

Thank you Coach Kern for using matside pairings.  It will help and we like being on the same mat all day.  Please consider next year implementing a staggered start time for the younger vs. older age groups.

another great point.....staggered start times......this alone helps cut 2-3 hours at least out of your time at the meet......

Thanks for the day off:

With all of the experts from last week , us old pairing folks can set back and enjoy watching them pair your meet. I'll bring note pads, so we can learn from them.

Is this a serious comment? Or a playful joke?  I don't see why one would insult Jimtown for trying to utilize a proven method of faster and more reliable pairings, that many other states and organizations use.
