At 215lbs Bernard from Cathedral is the # 3 seed, and was ranked #14 in preseason polls and has losses to #5Krayl  of Crown Point 8-1, and #2 Kruna of Franklin 7-1,  and beat Mishawaka, Calumet, 215lb's at Tricoff last weekend, and has also beat Warren Central 215lbs backup (Wallace was hurt), and his only city match was Manual and had a 1st period fall. I  know he's young (freshman) but I would bet he will end up as a 4X city champ, and although #1 & #2 seeds has better records I would think quality of competion would mean more! Would like to know if either 1st or 2nd seeds have wrestled ranked oppoents or ranked teams to justify those seeds!

The main reason bernard is seeded 3rd is because the Broad Ripple Kid was the returning runner-up at that weight class and the NW 215 was a ticket rounder last year and was at heavyweight which he was extreamly small so he is gonna be pretty tough 215

So who is the #1 seed Harris from Northwest or the Broad Ripple kid? Both may be stronger than the freshman Bernard but at some point in the match they will be forced to wrestle, so it should be intresting. Is their anyone that can test Cathedral's other tough freshman Corsaro at 140lbs?

idk much about the 215 from cathedral other that he spent many years on the southside under the perry meridian coaching staff  and also that the big hawaiian knows him better than all of us and i agree he will be 4x city champ but he should have been a 3x marion county champ

I hear you mathewsz7 (thanks) but theres nothing like IRISH football his uncle Matt and Jimmy taught him well, but coach Hasbrook former Irish 215lbs state champ makes for a strong daily practice partner, now throw in coach Mcginley and coach Wright's knowledge and he's more than covered.

Tyron Claypool from North West at 140 is pretty tough he will be one of corsaros biggest threat. he was a greco state champ last year and went to junior nationals

It will be interesting to see how bernard does against his former school, Perry Meridian in the dual in January. Cooper is very solid. Should be a slobber knocker. What do you think big H?

Tough match-up senior verses freshman and they were in the same room for the last 10 years! Kinda like the big brother verses the little brother...lol

Not to mention the fact that he looked so much better in Blue  :) Tell him I said good luck this weekend!
