But it did get the Yorktown wrestler's attention."Stuff like that happens, and it doesn't shake me," Jackson said. "It just makes me mad." Jackson re-focused himself and quickly pinned his opponent in their 130-pound championship match to help the Tigers accomplish their goal Saturday. Yorktown won the Delta Sectional by scoring 314 1/2 points, easily putting aside runner-up Winchester, which had 183. The Tigers have won five straight sectional crowns and 14 of the past 16 titles, dating to 1995. Coach Trent McCormick challenged his team to place all 14 of its wrestlers in the top three of their weight divisions, and they succeeded. "That's the first time in school history we've ever done that," he said. "That was special; it was the carrot we dangled." The top four wrestlers in each weight class advanced to the Jay County Regional next Saturday where they will compete against Jay County Sectional advancers for spots in the Woodlan Semistate. click on above link for full article......
