AJ
I would just like to make a few comments regarding today's Middle School Team Stae. I would like to thank the Yorktown wrestling staff and volunteers who ran a GREAT tournament. This tournament went very smooth and ensured a lot of wrestling for all competitors. I would also like to say that all the teams who participated were not only extremely talented, but were great sports. Good hard wrestling and great sportsmanship between all teams. The officials were outstanding. They not only officiated the matches, but they helped the kids while they were on the mat. Overall this was a great experience and I recommend that if you have the chance, your school should compete in this event next year. Some of the duals were so competetitive that you almost forgot you were at a middle school tournament. Great atmosphere and a great day of wrestling. Thanks again to Coach McCormick and everyone else involved in outting the event on! By the wasy, Franklin edged out Yorktown in the final round to win the inaugural Middle School State Championship. Stripes
Great day of wrestling... thanks wrestlers, coaches, tournament workers, and fans. Any update on the young man hurt in the fourth round? (Called the school... good news... just a sprain, nothing broken.)
MAJAM152
Yes!!! It was a great day of wrestling. A job well done by Trent McCormick and the Yorktown staff/parents. I was really taken back by the competitiveness ,excitement and quality of matches through out the Day. Just like AJ said, at times I also kept forgetting I was at a MS Tournament. This goes to show Indiana wrestling is headed in the right diection. Congrats Franklin!!!
