Firefighters quickly responded to the scene and brought the small fire under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated but school officials say the fire may have been due to faulty electrical wires that ignited nearby floor mats. The students were evacuated to a building near the football field, but have since returned to the school. Arlington High School's enrollment is typically around 1,400.
