Is it possible?

Is it possible to get the IHSAA to allow flowrestling to tape and post our state championships online?? Flowrestling attempted to cover the State tournament last year, but was only allowed to post interviews.. Flowrestling is the best way to show the talent that we have here in Indiana to the rest of the country.. It may be too late, but is there anyway that we can convince the IHSAA to allow flowrestling to cover our State Finals???

I am a big fan of Flowrestling....The entire Flowrestling Team has done a great job promoting our sport to the world!  I think it would only benefit our kids to get this exposure, there are some smaller colleges and university's that may not have the funds to send out scouts all over the country, with Flo, they can watch our kids and maybe offer them the chance to compete at the next level....More Indiana wrestlers, competing in College only brings back more competitive kids who want to get involved in coaching, making their kids more competitive....It's a win-win.....How much money does the IHSAA really make off of State Finals DVD's?  With this age of technology, every Mom and Dad have become Movie Producers, with a computer, digital camera and video....they usually make their own videos of their kids.  My vote is YES! Let Flowrestler in.....and lets show the Country that Indiana Wrestling is not only up and coming.....but an undeniable problem that the rest of the country needs to worry about!

If you read the ihsaa.org side bar on their web site, you will see that the IHSAA has sold their soul at every opportunity.  Official this and official that has become a great $ generator for the IHSAA.  They don't care how many DVD's they sell or the public view of our kids, it's all about the benjamins.

At the head of this fund raising committee are folks the likes of Blake Ress and Janis Qualliza (Merrillville AD).  They make decisions like (at their last executive meeting) that the Official Ball provider for all IHSAA sports is now Wilson!  WOOHOO  Why is that important to anyone?  It isn't except to say that Wilson just bought the rights to a sweetheart deal that guarantees sale of their product in Indiana for the next 5 years....becasue the IHSAA says so!  They could make their product out of dog hide in sweat shops using 7 yr. olds getting paid in candy, but by golly they are the OFFICIAL ball provider for the IHSAA!

Think it sounds ridiculous?  Consider how many people bang their heads on the wall each year wondering why in the world such a premier event as the Merrillville SS is held in such a crappy facility while other, more suitable facilities, set dormant that same weekend.  Check the name of the last IHSAA Board Prez.....none other than Ms. Janis Qualliza - Merrillville AD.  Good luck changing their mind with logic like "It's good for the kids" or "It's good for the sport"....it's all about the benjamins!! :-X
