BlueBolt
Excellent!!!! Now isn't that what the sport of Wrestling is all about? Overcoming not only your opponent, but also whatever stands between you and your goals?
WeeMom
Dustin Carter is incredible. I remember watching that CBS News Special. I'd like to be able to see the 4 guys who were able to figure out how to beat Carter. Obviously - it would take an uncommon and incredibly adept wrestler to figure out how to wrestle him, when it would be pretty difficult to get him off balance. The weight distribution is so different. You couldn't use some of the most basic moves... taking shots, trying to drive him off balance. Even turning him would be hard. But... my opinion may be formulated because I'm really just learning. So..educate me... What approach would you use to get a victory against Carter? Lemonadez
To be honest, I would probably snap down on his head alot. As you said his balance is totally different from that of a regular wrestler, so to have any chance of getting around him, you would have to snap like crazy. Any attempt at a shot would be quickly blocked because he is so low to the ground. Turning him would be very tough as well. Most of the time you have to get leverage to turn your opponent, and he has a thick torso that a normal 103 pounder could not turn. I would probably try to block over one of his shoulders and just use my legs to drive him over. I think that the main challenge though, would come from that fact that he wrestles 103 and he is rediculously strong. Props to whoever won against him because that would be an incredibly difficult opponent to best. Also, because this really interested me, I was checking up on it and found another wrestler of the same sort of disability. Check out Rohan Murphy of penn state. (listen to see how much he benchs!!)
