As close as you are to the Merrillville program, you would think you'd know how to spell their name. Anyway, to state that the Merrillville kid would have won by taking the penalty points away is ridiculous. You might as well say that if the McCutcheon kid didn't make weight, the Merrillville kid would have won. The bottom line is the Merrillville coach got in the ref's head and the ref made a horrible call by awarding the stalling point to Merrillville and then continued by not hitting Merrillville with stalling as the third period came to an end as the McCutcheon kid was clearly forcing all the action. As a casual observer, that was an easy call to make yet it didn't happen. What a terrible way to end a kid's career.
