XCard, As close as you are to the Merrillville program, you would think you'd know how to spell their name. Anyway, to state that the Merrillville kid would have won by taking the penalty points away is ridiculous. You might as well say that if the McCutcheon kid didn't make weight, the Merrillville kid would have won. The bottom line is the Merrillville coach got in the ref's head and the ref made a horrible call by awarding the stalling point to Merrillville and then continued by not hitting Merrillville with stalling as the third period came to an end as the McCutcheon kid was clearly forcing all the action. As a casual observer, that was an easy call to make yet it didn't happen. What a terrible way to end a kid's career.

Not to criticize but there seems to be some errors in the Calumet regional brackets. Particularly 130 lbs and up.

Sort of ironic that there seems to be a lot of discussion about two high school kids when there was not one post about a parent who was totally inappropriate at the Lake County tourney last weekend and possibly injured a wrestler. Where were all you do-gooders then? These kids are two of the best wrestlers in the state who work their tail off all year to be the best. I think they have earned the right to be frustrated if things don't go their way.
