  1. from what im seeing the Bombers should have at least five guys fighting for a title here saturday. calling them "weak" this year is a little harsh. Martin(138) and Ringen(145) are both in the picture for a state birth this year and Martin still has one more year after this. Hickman(132) a junior is good on his feet and will need to move on bottom to get where he wants this year. Resendez(152) a junior also started to impress me towards the middle of the season. and keep an eye out for Langley(182) who i have been very pleased with this season, is strong as an ox here in his sophomore season. his first match with Winkle was closer than what the score showed or at least i felt that way. look for him to be wrestling at merrilville. Roe(160) and Potts(170) will be ones to keep an eye out for as well. good luck all wrestlers, real excited to see how everybody fares this year! "To be the best, ya gotta beat the best! WOOOOOOO!!" - The Nature Boy Ric Flair
  2. i wouldnt be surprised to see the Rensselaer boys 130 and 160 in the finals saturday 8)
  3. i cant pick against Ringen (130)right now hes darn good on his feet and darn on top, i havent seen him much on the bottom, i like him in the finals saturday,IF!...IF! he wants it bad enough he'll be wrestling friday night at Conseco for a shot at the top 8, i think that hes that good, but it is all up to how bad he wants this, hes a great kid and a good enough wrestler to do it
  4. Bomber they do not, team scores are gone after sectional, and then they take the top team, so its duals from there on out! :'(
  5. who knows what happened what Martinez (Logan) beat Alderman (Delphi) ? they wrestle first round 135 and it may be interesting, somebody help me out as to what happened?! 8) thanks!
  6. my winner picks 103: Overby Harr. ever since i can remember hes been tough 112: Denton TL, not easy but he'll win 119: Preston Logan this kid has always been a stud and its his time 125: toss up at the top seeds, Rehn looked great at sectional, i have to pick him 130: Ringen RC, i know for a fact he wants it and he'll get after it 135: Alderman Del, i realize Griffin beat Alderman, i just like Alderman to win 140: Wagoner P, ive seen him wreslte and hes gonna be tough to beat 145: Martinez Jeff 152: Palmieri WL, easy 160: Green RC has to be the favorite, right? 171: Lynde Del, easy and my pick at state title 189: Masters WC, i liked what ive seen from him 215: Whitlock P, i said it 285: Ford McC id love to see everybodies picks! im excited!! 8)
  7. i agree, Twin Lakes 112 Denton (Freshman) is a stud, he controlled sectionals and i feel controlled most of the Hoosier Conference title match against the BC dude, i just have to pick Denton (Twin Lakes 112) very well coached and very well disiplined, i just dont see him losing
  8. idk, i feel they are the team to beat next year, Logan is tough, but really their only superior wrestler to the Bombers is Preston(stud) who whooped on Hickman(not a push over) Ringen, Martin and Hickman will lead these guys to a title next year, coach Burvan and Lucero have made a huge difference in this program, they run it very "old school" and i love it! BUT!!! this season isnt over yet!! good luck everybody
  9. the Logan kid has beaten Alderman this year, dont know the details of the match, but what i mean is dont count out the Logan kid, hes tough, also Alderman handled Martin at conference for the title, the weight class to watch will be 160 i think, Dale, Green, Hileman, and Warren will make this very exciting, at least 2 of these 4 will be in Indy in a few weeks, anything can happen though, LETS GET READY TO WRESTLE!!
  10. Green pinned him in about 50 seconds
  11. the dude from Lewis Cass won 215, Schultheiss took 5th
  12. North White was supposed to run this tourney... :-\
  13. Rensselaer getting nothing here! 8) they DID finish 2nd here last year, they "should" have at least 6 in the finals and a couple of titles, ill give the 160 NW kid the repsect he deserves but...idk that he beats Green, im not sure who Hileman has wrestled this year, not talking him down any but he will have to out-heart Green. Martin will have another good match with Holloway at 135, Ringen should win 130...should...Northcutt at 152 is probably the best "on the mat" wrestler there, he is just one strong dude, Mike Roe at 145, i believe, showed some real heart in winning conference in sudden death overtime, i look forward to seeing him wrestle, and i expect Hickman at 119 to be in the finals, hes pretty technical and a threat to look forward to in the future, and im telling you, dont count out Potts (RC) out at 171, i have been very happy with him this season and expect him to be wrestling at Logansport, good luck RC and all of the wrestlers, the season starts now!!
  14. Hunter Hickman, Sophmore from Rensselaer Central was a semi-state qualifier last season, hes had a few rough matches and has a handful of loses but i expect him to repeat his success from last year and get another sectional title and make a good run deep into the post season
  15. youre thinking of Tim Fleming, he graduated 3 or 4 years ago, John is his cousin
