Mason has won Tulsa and Super 32 and has been on multiple national dual teams with my son. Mason and his family is about as humble as can be. Congrats on a great year Mason!

Updated Roster of Campers for the 2010 Prime Time Wrestling Camp

I registered my son for the primetime camp earlier this week, his name has not been added to the list yet. He is also gonna do the contenders camp in july, but was wanting an opinion on the Golden Cross camp.

Do you know of anyone who has ever attended this camp or know of anyone that is a part of this club? I was thinking of sending my intermediate 60-65 pounder to this but want to make sure it is worth the time. The price is pretty good for a 3 day camp and it seems that ohio wrestling is at a different level than indiana, so i was thinking about sending him to an ohio camp. I was thinking about sending him to Miron, but the trip is twice as long and would have to spend money on a hotel.

Congrats to Alex, great day in a tough bracket! I also wanted to comment on the sportsmanship and class of the kids and the parents. When the competition is as tough as it was, there is usually some sour grapes over a bad call or controversy about one thing or another. Saturday the kids and the parents were gracious in winning and in defeat. Hopefully the kids start spreading out in weight because these are a tough group of kids! Good luck the rest of the wrestling season.

There are a TON of wrestlers not registered yet. This year is different where you HAVE to pre register and pay online, unlike the last couple of years where you paid at Ben Davis. Remind people to register online.

I think intermediate 60 is going to be an absolute meat grinder. If i could any way possible get my son down to 55 I would, but I would have to cut off an arm for that. Good luck to everyone and may the best (or luckiest) boy or girl win!

A descent 60-65 pound intermediate will be there...depends on how many christmas cookies he eats between now and then. This tourney and the borderwars tourney to see where you are at...then let the fun begin.

Which is the best summer camp for a Bantam/Intermediate wrestler? My son has had some success in his weight class, but can't seem to get past the top two or three wrestlers. The club he is in plans on wrestling 2 times per week over the summer, but would a summer camp benefit him or would he be too young. I was thinking about looking into the Chertow Camp or the Miron Camp in Ohio. Has anyone gone to either of these camps? Would it be too intense for a 7 year old? Is it worth the money to send my kid there, or should I just spend more time drilling at home, supplementing the two times per week at the club?
