  1. Understandable, you won't hear much about him due to the fact he is from the southern most school in the semi-state. It should be an exciting finally to the Logansport Regional. His loss in that regional was to Everett from Delphi who placed 7th at State. Come to think about it I think Howe from Plymouth beat Mukai out last season. If I remember right it was a hard fought match. Modification- I did som Research Last Year Dix got second in the sectional to Keagon Clark. Both Dix and Clark lost too and lost to Lutz from Har. Mukia beat both of those kids (Clark and Lutz) during the tournament last season. Mukai is much improved thus He is my pick as the Logansport Reg. Champ.

  3. Didn't Cody Fellers(listed 140) lose to Brady White(listed 125???) at like 145. If I remember correctly Fellers weighed in at 145 and White weighed in at 140 and White bumbed up to wrestle Fellers. Correct me if I am wrong. Name changes for Joey Engle FC 125. He is now Joey Tucker. Also Nick Baker from CVille is now Nick Tribett and he is at 152. I think Fairley CVille is 171. North Mont has a good 145 and 160 they need to be looked at for rankings I can't think of their names. What happened to Whitlow from Southmont?????He is a senior now and I know he was a descent wrestler over the past few years. I cant see why he would be ranked unless he was in a real tough weight class. Clough FC was at 152 a week ago(listed 145) for conference If this is true I agree even though he is my favorite to win at 285
  4. Jordan Hicks is a junior and is now 38-0 very impressive regular season. I see no threats through the regional. I wish him and Petrov would have wrestled at Jeff; it would have been fun to watch. I understand why Petrov opted out of wrestling him to prevent injury. Ok on the Topic of Travis Rowe- He is from North White, that means he would be in one of if not the weakest sectional in the state Twin Lakes. Beating the champion isn't much of a prize. Having seen him wrestle several times(I may have wrestled him when he was a freshman I can't remember that far back either way he lost to me or my teammate at the time), I am not impressed at all. At 145 Wagoner from Pioneer isn't an easy task. I do know that Ethan Dale Mcc, Hodge Har, and Cohen See are at 145 at Laf. Jeff sectional all of which can win it. At 152 Lynde would handle him with no problems. The Laf. jeff sectional historically wins first place in 10-12 weight class of those 8-10 are an all Laf. Jeff finals. Having said that if Rowe were in the tournament, I wouldn't bet on him to win regionals let alone make it to state. But none of this matter cause he is not in the tournament. As for 5th place it tech. exist but its irrelivent in the topic of accomplishments. All it amounts to is losing in the ticket round to the eventual champion. It is a bad draw but it doesn't make you better than the guy who lost to the eventual second place finisher. If Dorris Wrestles anything Like he did at the Holiday tournament at Laf. Jeff I can't see him winning regionals.I that happens, I think he will have more than he can handle when he matches up with Brown LJ in Logansport. Who is Zach Dix I don't Remember him from Last year when Mukia got second at the regional. Was He a 215 if so what did he do in the tournament I am just trying to just ify him being ranked over Mukia
  5. Forget even semi-state. At Sectionals small school have trouble competing as a team not individuals as a team. Wrestling is a TEAM sport. You have to compete with someone else not against a clock (swimming , cross country, track, ect.). When you think about it, if you have 5000 student, your chances of producing 14 quality wrestlers is alot higher than a school with 400 students. Here is a solution a classed Team tourney through the week and an unclassed Individual tourney on the weekend. Have 3 classes, Start the seed meeting for the Team tourney on the Thursday before sectionals week. Tounament varies on the number of schools you have. It would be a single elemination team tournament. Example- 8 team secional Tuesday have 4 teams at two locations first location 1 vs 8 4 vs 5 winners then wrestle Second location 3 vs 6 2 vs 7 winners then wrestle On Thursday Winner location 1 Vs Location 2 Winner goes to team regionals You keep your True Individual Champion And you get the Class Team champions (Only 3) Sounds Fair
  6. Wabash Camps How a D3 school can get the guys they get is amazing Highly suggest this camp. http://www.wabash.edu/sports/wrestling/camps
  7. The Only people who should complain about wrestle backs at semi state, are the people who go to the merrillville semi-state because they have to deal with another round of elbow rubbing and standing. Let's move that semi-state and have wrestle back!!
  8. 1 I really can't see this happening - Penn was a state qualifier @103 He has made a very good transition to 125- I wouldn't call this regional weak at 125 when they could possibly get 2 into the state tournament (Penn and Hicks) And this wont happen either just take a look at South Newton's Schedule The best kid he's beaten was at Sections when he beat Rowe, Rowe then beat himat regionals to place 3rd This is 100% correct good call on this one Shiedler??????? over Lott i think not Tolle is wrestling really well right now
  9. Ok outa 16 Legitimate chance I think we get 2/3rds out and at least half so I say 8-10 Logansport guys will get out 112- Floyd will not beat Smith from Lake Central (This kid is a stud) 119- Trujillio - I don't see him beating Hildebrandt from Penn 125- Ezera Penn is one of my picks to make it to state if he can get past Stevens from Mish. Penn (125 is a lot different then the 103 he wrestled last year) 125- Hicks won't beat Shrader from Mishawaka ok Floyd can and should beat smith Trujillo can and should beat Hildebrandt You are deffinitely under estimated the size Penn has put on he is a legitimate 125 though Stevens is very tough Hicks barely lost in OT to Penn with a questionable call on the toes in bounds takedown he had, and he will beat Shrader 171- I think McCoy will lose to Sands from Han. Central This should be a nail biter 50/50 My Picks are Floyd Trujillo Penn Hicks Minix McCoy Atwood Tolle so 8 it is for me I want to put Everett but its just to ify
