  1. wags lost to Brown 4-0 2-0 in the third and he tried a late shot and got scored on. He beat the FC (fountain central) kid who wrestled up at 140, and the kid from Wawasee was pretty good as well. He was looking forward to wrestling Shepard from Western, but he didnt wrestle that weekend. We (Pioneer) have our work cut out. Where we are good, we are good, where we are weak, we are weak, but we have some kids back in the line up that were out at MWC, we did beat NW in a dual, and had West Central beat if I would have kept my mouth shut. We have a good tourney team, but our champs need to be champs, and our 2-3 guys need to be champions too. Even with that we need help because we wont score in several weight classes. I have seen Logan, and I know their team well, they are well coached, wrestling well, and are solid up and down the line up. I believe 12 of their kids are seeded. Should be a good tourney as the Davids try to slay Goliath. And just so we are clear, YES WE KNOW WE DONT HAVE THE TOUGHEST SECTIONAL, jeesh, enough already, we have several rural schools drawing from 300 or so kids in the entire school. Pioneer 311, Caston 250, Cass 466, West Central 301, Winamac 395, Frontier 264, Twin Lakes 821, North White 283, South Newton 275, Rensselaer 593, Logansport 1305. Take out Logan and you have a total enrollment of 3959 OR 600 LESS than Carmel alone. We get it, small schools, great kids who wrestle hard, with pride, and with class. Can't wait for Saturday!
  2. Phil Whitlock's fall at the Pioneer Super Six vs Twin Lakes on January 8 was :04. Bear hug straight to flat. Official score keeper and timer both have :04. Chuck LaDow Head Coach Pioneer Wrestling

  4. Well said! Loved watching Braden grow up on the mat! A class act, an awesome wrestler and a world of possibilities as a Boiler!
  5. Dorris has not had good coaching this year, thus his ups and downs. He also cut a lot (Again, stupid coaching). He has loads of skill and if his coach can direct his focus he could go far, OR he could not go so far. That's why we wrestle. All I know is when I wrestled with him in early November he was as tough as anyone I have ever coached, now I wail on him.........lol

  11. Very proud of all the young Panthers for their work ethic and attitude on RFD! Remember, that on this board you are not only representing yourself, but your team, your school, and your coach....do so with class and dignity, or else! (OK, so three of you are smoking me with regularity, but still, you cant outrun me:) And Owen..... ruff, ruff! TS- Thanks for a great group of kids, well coached, good work ethic, and fun, hopefully we make you proud...too bad we dont have class wrestling.........ROFLMAO:) PS Owen stole your shoes! If you are ever in the area, dont be a stranger!
  12. I will be the head coach at Pioneer for the 2009-2010 season. I am truly excited to take a over a great program and can't wait to get started!
  13. I would like to know how many qualified for that matter. Maybe it has been discussed, but I am interested in the statistical analysis of the added s. state qualifier.
