Was this before or after the finals?

I think the major hurdle would be to find a school with a coach and administration that would be willing to do it.

I know that years ago (before this website and trackwrestling) they gave them out at Merrillville after the finals.

I wasn't able to make it this year (first semi state in a long time that I missed). I was watching online. Did some of the kids only give their names and school?

Deadline for the registration on the website states Thursday February 11th. Thursday is the 12th. Do you know if it is Wednesday or Thursday the 12th?

If Gelen is all in, Im guessing the learning curve would not be that steep and he would be the top dog.

I wasn't able to attend but it seemed like a good tournament for Merrillville and brownsburg. Some good competition from MI and OH. Surprised that again only 2 teams from Indiana and none from the Fort Wayne area.

I could be missing something here, but why would any potential first round points really matter at the state tournament? Points are awarded to place winners. If you win your first round match, you are a place winner. If you lose, you are not and obviously wouldn't earn team points anyway. Yes, I understand point values differ depending on the manner in which a match is won, but I feel like throwing the first round out is a good thing for the team race because of the number of lopsided bouts that will inevitably occur in the first round. The number of place winners, and their respective placements, will likely be the determining factor.

It matters when a team has a few falls on Friday night. Especially in a tight team race.
