I have had the opportunity to coach for 25 year. I grew up and wrestled in Ohio. I think it should be classed. Two classes. I have coached at both small and large schools. I think today--to keep things interesting--kids need to have success. They need to be able to set attainable goals. I think in the long run dual meet/ team success--is what keeps kids together. A kid at a small school does not have the same chances to experience state success. With a half of a line up it is also tough to experience team success

I would be curious to poll all the wrestlers in Indiana to hear their preference

I think many sectionals pair up the unseeded wrestlers in the rat tail. Basically wrestle another unseeded person to get into the 8 man bracket

My prediction: brownsburg 1st, HSE second

And Avon 3rd.

Gaines beat fainter from Avon 4-3.

Fishers heavyweight majored Lebanon last year at sectional. Beat Westfield at county thus past weekend as well.

Carmel will have 5-6 finalist. Hipple and Fox are two potential champs. Pruitt has a tough draw but is also capable.

Top 4 teams will be HSE, Fishers, Carmel, and Westfield. (no particular order) though HSE is probably the favorite.

Look for Mason Gaines from Fishers.  Mason wrestled up a weight last year above Jordan Lile.  He had a good showing at the pre season  indiana mat tournament.  Also look for Freedom Mak-Dawson.  I  do not see many Fishers wrestlers mentioned.  I know this group and they will make some noise.

I am also surprised their freshman coming in at 106 has not been mentioned.

I predict Carmel will be team champ  HSE, Leb, Westfield, and Zionsville will challenge for 2nd.  I will give the edge to HSE

  Zionsville--8 qualifiers

  Lebanon--7 qualifiers

  Westfield-7 qualifiers

  Fishers-- 6 qualifiers

Lance Syverson from Fishers will be at 132.  He recently defeated Smith from Lebanon by 4 at 138.

I am looking forward to next weeks Hamilton County wrestling tournament.  Teams include:  Carmel, Westfield, HSE, Noblesville, Fishers, Sheriden, Guerin Catholic, and Hamilton Heights.  This is usually the week that many wrestlers drop if that is their intention. 

Tatom will do much better in an open match that allows him to be more explosive.  I.e. Rypien match.  This will be a good match---I give Tatom the edge

I just wanted to say great job to all the organizers of Indy Nationals---The event went quite smooth---volunteers were awesome--and the quality of wrestling was fantastic.

I was very impressed with Whitelands freshmen earlier this year at Yorktown

I predict 9 champs coming out of Zionsville and 5 out of the North Mont sectional

lance had a tough day---he got to semis and lost a tough 9-8 match to Watson from HSE.  He then lost a 4-3 match in the match to go to Westfield.

I am seeing eldred style creating challenges for perez.  I am picking the upset.  I think Lile wins it all.

Zionsville sectional is probably in the top 10------This year 4 teams are probably top 30---HSE, Zionsville, Fishers, Westfield.  Carmel and Lebanon are traditionally strong.  Frankfort , Clinton Central , Western Boone all typically bring full teams and add 4-5 very strong wrestlers as well.  Sheridan and Prairie heights complete the field and always qualify a few to regionals

Tatom/ McCloskey will be an excellent match---i think it could go either way----I give the advantage to the loser at Regional.

I think Lance is capable of beating the third or fourth seed.  He is wrestling well.  I think he will pull off one of these.

I see Syverson from Fishers getting out.

I definitely see HSE as a top 12 team.  Chastain is a pretty strong wrestler to be missing---could have been a 9 point swing.  HSE still loses the match---but only by one.

Looking thru the brackets there is alot of parity.  I would be suprised if anyone gets more that 5-6 in the finals.  HSE is the favorite----look for Zionsville, Westfield, Fishers,  Noblesville, Avon, and Harrison to take a run at second.  I would say Zionsville would have the best chance to upset HSE.
