Thanks snoopy! By far the toughest tournament for us to run. I can say that we have outgrown our facility. It was packed. The only downside to that is parents not being able to see all mats clearly. We may have a fix for that. 3 mats in main gym and 1 in Auxilary gym. This way we could open both sides of bleachers all the way. It all depends on the success of the high school basketball team. They were playing for a sectional title that night and needed the auxilary gym for practice and shoot around during the day.

Why would I be biased on a fellow data collector!?!?! I also missed Fishers team points. Hey, I am from Rochester, what more can you expect? They should be fixed now. Both teams had 13 points. Copy and paste is a GREAT thing.

I have been scoring the coaches trophy for a few years and forgot my laptop at state this year. I finished them late last night and have the completed brackets with team scores on page 15 below. http://www.rtcol.com/RochesterWrestling/2009-10/2009-10%20State%20Finals.pdf I will check my older finals results for a score higher than what Mishawaka put up this year. These are also unofficial, but I am pretty sure they are accurate.

I did not realize the new rule of no scoring until quarterfinals. There are only 2 rat-tails in the Plymouth Sectional. They are both Rochester vs Warsaw wrestlers. That wass a possible 8 points for either team that could have been very important for the Sectional title (for one team). Indysportsfan, Decbell1 is excatly right. Let's say both wrestlers win by decision in every match they wrestle, even in the head to head match. 2nd place would have 16 team points. 3rd place would score 12 team points. That is where the bonus points for maj's, tech's, fall's comes into play. Let's say Wright only wins all his matches by decision and Keiffer win all of his by fall, except to Wright. They both would score 16 team points for the day. I assume they will meet in the semi-finals...? If they meet in the quarters, then that is another factor with advancement points and one extra match for Keiffer. Keiffer could actually score 1 more point that Wright if Keiffer wins all by fall and Wright wins only by decisions. This stuff can get deep. "Bonus" points are crucial in tight team battles.

Not dumb, very confusing to some. 16-12-9-7-5-3. That is for 1st through 6th place. 2 points advancement in winners bracket. 1 point advancement in losers bracket. You only get your advancement points for a bye if you win the next round. 2 points for a FF, fall, DQ, default. 1.5 points for a tech fall, 1 point for a maj dec. Hope this helps

I fixed 171. Then went back through and looked over all team results from Wednesday and added in the matches to the wrestlers. Then I noticed that the IHSAA website had the results from Regionals up. My records now match what the IHSAA has. Although I did notice that the Peru team regional matches were not added to to records of the Delphi and West Central kids. For example, Everett from Delphi at HWT says he is 39-0, but he actually is 41-0 from Wednesday matches.
