  1. Anybody got the 1o mins it takes to post results? Thank you to the one who steps up......
  2. Friday Night......the mood, attitude, and mystique that surrounds it is unreal. It is loaded with hype and pure energy. Watching teenagers re-act to the "on the spot" demands of Friday Night is night like no other. The "win or go home" theme makes this night impossible to predict. I have seen wrestlers dominate the season leading up to, even roll through a SS, and then change on Friday night. This night can separate good from bad and good from great. I can only compare it to a junior high match. You never know what can happen. I mean come on, we are the only sport where your season can end in 2 seconds no matter how much you are winning by. It can go as planned or turn into quick-sand on a mat. Kids forget how to wrestle, forget game plans, or just go blank. It is mind-boggling the way some of these matches turn out. A kid might win 14-13 Friday night and then blow through the field on Saturday. And we know there will ALWAYS be upsets Friday Night, not only 3's over 2's, but the HOLY COW 4's over 1's. The people that only show up for Saturday don't know what they are missing.
  3. 103 RE HA MD CE 112 MD RE CE ME 119 RE MD MV ME 125 RE MV MD NO 130 NO MD MV CE 135 ME MD NO RE 140 MD MV RE NO 145 MD MV RE ME 152 MD RE ME MV 160 MD ME NP MV 171 ME MV MD RE 189 NP RE NO MD 215 MD MV RE ME 285 MV ME MD CE MD gets all 14 out, Reitz gets 11 out, Mt. Vernon 10, and Memorial 9--> RE, MV, and ME have a few spoilers that I did not have advancing that could pull off a few upsets. Good luck to all.
  4. Central has the toughest sectional in the state. The top 4 teams are all famliar faces when it comes to team rankings. MD is always top 3, Reitz goes from top ten to top 15 from week to week, and Memorial & Mt. Vernon are top 20 teams year in and year out. Don't think another sectional can match the depth of this one.
  5. Boots and Choate is no real surprise...I mean the 2 & 3 seed are basically the same thing. My guess is neither coach would mind as long as they are there. But to compare the two Choate majored Lovelace and Boots stuck him. Off of that I'd say Boots gets the nod as the #2, but they both deserve to be where they are at. Should be an excellent match. 112 has really gone unnoticed, but it is as deep as 125. These kids are all within a few points of each other all year long, from top to bottom this weight is competitve. How about Wolfe going 130 and shaking up the seeds? What has happened to Melliff? His stock kind of took a hit this year. 125 is worth the price of admission. Rueger has to breathe a sigh of relief to be opposite of Hend & Konrath....until he sees he still has to get passed Sulawske....wow this bracket is deep! 215 should be real exciting too. A beats B, B beats C, and so on and so on during the year...these guys will be "dukin it out" all day from 1st to 4th.
  6. The IHSAA has the draw, but they are not released to coaches until Regionals are completed.
  7. Angel is hurt and it is wearing on him. I hope he can find a way to get healthy. Congrats on an excellent match Matt. Keep up the hard work.
  8. Nice work Perry, Powless, & Nate....cleanin up Cameron's mess.
  9. That was embarassing. Thank goodness he is not an Indiana bred wrestler. I'd hate to claim that performance.
  10. Yes. He said something like "I assume he's good" ha ha ha
  11. Warrendad, TOTALLY AGREE. He acts like A) we are all retarded He has all the answers. This is the one time I wouldn't mind some basketball commercials or highlights!!! You get a wahoo for that! ha
  12. Kinser gets a tech but its only worth 4 team pts bcuz there was no nearfall. This is a dumb rule. Meet is at intermission now. Stay tuned......
  13. Walpole loses. IU down 12-0. Kinser gets two early takedowns. Almost lands a headlock, seems Penn St had it scouted nicely.
  14. Walpole down 5-2 to Jenkins in the 2nd. Jenkins has a serious limp after his ankle bent kinda funny on a takedown in the 1st.
  15. Kelly falls 7-6. Had a chance in the 3rd, but didnt do enough early. He was down 4pts before he pushed the pace or even shot for that matter. PS Wish Ken Chertow had a mute button. Plus he is a little Penn St bias. Go figure ha ha
  16. 141 Kelly is down 4-1 (and riding time) after the 1st. He is not looking very good. IU isn't coming off the blocks well tonight
  17. IU is wrestling Penn St right now on BTN. Angel got upset to start the night, Ortega of IU is down 7-4 in the 2nd.
  18. headlock- Kinser...saw a few NASTY ones in his matches at IU. TOTALFOCUS, What is an Iranian? Cousin to a Russian? lol
  19. 125- Henderson top 4 at state? No. Remember the downfall of the state draw. You could draw a kid like little Tsirtsis rd 2 and be shooting for 5th after that. Is he the favorite? Yes, he is undefeated in his conference schedule. 125 however seems to be a wide open seni-state too. 130- Seitz is the one, obviously, because he beat the #2 seed last weekend. BUT he is not the returning 130lb champ. That was Zuber of Memorial last year. 135- Dehaven beating Hufford is not an upset. Dehaven beat him in the Memorial vs North dual 7-2 recently. From what I hear, Dehaven owned the match. Hufford won a big match vs. MD that landed him #1. He needs to find a strong game plan to wrestle to seed Sat. 152. King vs Bittner is an excellent wake up-call kind of match (as is Rueger vs Sulawske @ 125). My only question is, with Bittner missing so much time, what does he have in the tank?
