  7. In taking a good look at the match-ups, and the seeding, i see that in 7 wgt classes Unco is seeded ahead of unci, and in 7 unci is seeded ahead of unco. But a swing match i see is at 138 Stansberry VS Ring. That can go either way in my opinion. and i do not believe the looser of that match places. Also i dont know what the score of the Milliron vs Terriquez match was a couple weeks ago but if that were to swing in Centervilles favor, it would benefit the Patriots. I also see where i might go as far as to to say locks for unci at 145 and 160, but unco finishes right behind them in 2nd. unci possibly gets shut out at 106, 120, 126, and 138, i also see the Calderon vs unci match at 195 to be huge for unci. and unco 220 lber place 4th they wont get shut out there but unco could get shut out at 138, 170, 182 and as i said 220. Pay attention saturday, there WILL be some upsets of seeded kids. just where and what affects will it have on the tourney, IMO i have unco winning the TEC by less than 20 pts over unci with centerville 3rd hagerstown 4th, winchester 5th, northeastern 6th, lincoln 7th and tri 8th.
  8. In the rule book uner RULE 3.4 TIMEKEEPER. Article 1 states: The timekeeper is responsible for: a. keeping the overall time of the match b. recording the accumulated time-outs fr injury and blood time. c. monitoring recovery time d notifying the referee ofany signifacant situation when the match is stoppd, or for disagreement by official scorer and timekeeper, or when requested by a coach to discuss possible error. e. ASSISTING, WHEN REQUESTED BY THE REFEREE, IN DETERMINING WHETHER A SITUATION OCCURRED BEFORE OR AFTER THE TERMINATION; AND f. when a visual clock is not available, calling the minutes to the referee, contestants and spectators and displaying with visual cards thenumber of seconds remaining in the last minute or the period at 15 second intervals. how did he GIVE the match at 145 to UC when he did his job and asked the official timekeeper. yes i did not agree with alot of his calls , especially in the 106 lb 3-4th place match when he warned indian creek for stalling and indian creek was on top and you are suppose to stop the match when you warn the top man for stalling. Only time this is not to happen is if the bottom man has made it to his feet and the top man does not TRY to return him to the mat. But i have seen the officiating at Richmond, not the best either, the official that they hired to do the dual with UC and Richmond wanted to disqualify Trawick for two many cautions. Until Union County told him that you cant be disqualified for cautions but it was a tech fall. I suggest you have questions about officiating. go to the ask the officials page and question a call you saw. And as fanman said, you tell me how Port got the #1 seed over Hupp when Hupp is ranked 13th and placed 3rd at the classic. record? is that really fair, Hupp is a state qualifyer!
  9. Tyler Hupp DQ'd first round against South Dearborn due to a bite I believe. Flagrant Misconduct
  10. Hupp of indian creek vs moody reitz. 1stround and at 160. Harvey vs rojas roncalli
  11. allaboutturks: Care to elaborate on why you "THINK" that way. What weight classes do you have Union City winning?
  12. Phillips and price score 8-0. End of 1st phillips up 2-0. Price takes 1st injury time. Phillips chooses down gets escape and takedown 5-0. Price takes 2nd injury time. Phillips chooses down. By rule after 2nd injury timeout. Phillips escapes and takes price down again. Price quits

  14. anyone have any thoughts on yesterdays tournament? surprises?
  15. would you include Brookville in this? i have some nominations. 103- PHILLIPS Union county 160 Rubush Union County 1985-1087 171 Duckworth union county 189 Barnhizer union county 215 Caldwell union county hwt Chalfant Winchester/House 1988 hagerstown
  16. Was Wyatt at 130 for UnCi. What was the score?
  17. There may be a possiblility that Todd and Price could go to 119, if that happens i would say the 119 pound class at new castle would have to be the toughest. campbell, Todd, price, boston, moss, Venezia, Farrell, and Julien. with only 4 tickets. Really would hate to be a #1 having to face this #4 Friday night at conseco.
  18. OK! we are into the new year, past the holiday tourneys, and have had a chance to see some of the wrestlers in big tourneys, how bout some predictions? 103-cville 112- unco 119-unco 125- ? 130- unci 135-northestern 140-? 145-unci 152-unco 160-winchester 171-? 189-cville 215-cville hwt- hag.
  19. Nothing wrong with spreading out the ranked wrestlers I agree, but dont make it so obvious that you seeded this tourney without the coaches input and then give the higher seeds all the FFTS. At least blind draw the FFTs. Lets hear everyone's thoughts.
  20. i wouldnt talk too much about him loosing the 7 lbs. IHSAA may suspend the head coach for violating the 1.5% rule on a kids weight loss. LOL
