  1. I don't see anyone beating Roach at 145. Also a reply to someone that said if Willis opens up his offense he will win 160. I have seen Willis wrestle 2 matches in the last 2 years Last year vs Mark Myers at the Traicoff Myers won 4-1. Willis did show a good defense since Myers had pinned everyone til then. This year I saw the McMurray match which McMurray won 1-0. Where is the offense?
  2. The Hammond Times had the results for the championship and consolation matches. They also had the results for the NW Conference, which was won by Munster. I noticedthat Medina didn't wrestle. Is he hurt and out for the season? As far as the Duneland goes there are 3 teams that could beat each other on any given day. There are so many swing matches. It just depends who comes to wrestle in the Team State Regional, as to who will advance to Indy for the state finals.
  3. Bash 513: After today t-shirts(Tsirtsis) and Roach from CP are both 22-0
  4. I posted the team scores and the championship match results only on the result page. The scorers took the scores down so fast I wasn't able to get most of them. Besides Crown Point's 6 champs they also had 2 2nds, (103 & 135); 2 3rds (125 & 215); 2 4ths (112 & 160) 1 5th (171) and 1 6th (Hwy). The win today assures Crown Point the Duneland title for the 4th year in a row
  5. Team scores: 1.Crown Point 245.5; 2. Merrillville 210.5; 3. Portage 196.5 4. Chesterton 145; 5. Lake Central 127 6. Laporte 112; 7. Valpo 69.5 8.. Mich. 6. I have been going to the Duneland tourney for years and I have never seen the brackets until I get there on Saturday morning.
  7. Macdaddy: I think you are MacMurray's father, if so I wish him all the best in his quest for a 3rd state title. It has been a pleasure watching him these past 4 years. He really gets out there and works his tail off to get the job done. As you can tell by my handle I am a duneland conference fan and will be rooting for him and the rest of the duneland wrestlers that make it to state. Also I wish him well at Michigan State.
  8. MacDaddy: I would never had made that post had not Pin1Win2 made his post of """""if""""" Torres had beaten Saroff Portage would have won. Well if Portage would have scored more points they would have won. Saroff completely dominated Torres . I agree, the first time they met it was a close match. but Saroff is improving with the experience he is getting this year. Next time they meet it might be different. There is a lot of difference in wrestling with a slight injury and wrestling with your strength and stamina zapped from you because of the result of the flu. Like I said I wouln't haveposted this had Pin1Win2 not made his ridiculous post.
  9. MacDaddy: Don't give me any bs about the flu not zapping your strength and stamina..Also I wouldn't have posted this little tidbit, but when Pin1Win2 posts that Portage would've won if Torres would've beat Saroff it got me teed off. Saroff tore him up, it wasn't like it was close and could have gone either way. Portage lost to CP, plain and simple and that is the second time this year. Face it, Portage has improved but they aren't quite up to the upper echelon caliber yet.
  10. Crown Point won 72 to 6 Only loss was at 112 where a JV wrestler got pinned. MC had 4 forfeits.
  11. INDIAN219DAC If my uncle had boobs, he wqould be my aunt. Acuna would never have beaten Flamme if Flamme wasn't wrestling with the flu
  12. Pin lwin2: Merrillville has to get out of the team regional to get the chance to wrestle Mishawaka, which I again say that should that happen and they do meet at state I'd give you 15 points, with Mishawaka being the winner.
  13. Pin2 win 1: There is no way Merrillville could come close to Mishawaka. My prediction is that Mishawaka will win team state in a cakewalk. Also, I don't think Crown Point would have any problems with Mater Dei either.
  14. Does anyone have all the team scores without having to read thru 32 pages to get them. I think Joe went way,way beyond the call to duty by posting the individual matches as they were happening. If anyone could post the team matches it would be greatly appreciated

  18. If my memory serves me right I think Vlink has won a team championship, I don't believe Maldonado has. Don't get me wrong, he is a great coach, but so is Vlink and he has last yer's team trophey to prove it.
  19. I think Merrillville will win, but not by 18 points., and Mr. Barnett, I have heard from a source very close to to the AD's that the meet will be held in the gym, not the fkieldhouse.
  20. I believe Mishawaka will win the match by at least 10 points, Beck will beat McGinley and Stahl will beat, if not pin Tonte I think everyone knows by now to watch out for Tonte's headlock, other than that he is no threat.
  21. 7 minutes older and a whole lot wiser
  22. Thank you Clive, I saw Andrew this weekend at the Carnahan. He said his body fat has dropped considerably. He looked good. He is a nice young man. You can be proud of him. Chuck Barnett: My golf game has improved with age because I don't swing out of my shoes anymore and I don't yell at you as much because you have imp;roved with age. Graymocfan: When are you going to get back out on the course with us and give me a chance to get my $10 back for your lucky hole-in-one. I'm waiting for you to be there before I get my first one

  24. I agree 100 0/0. I can't see anyone coming within 10 points of Mishawaka
  25. TheTruth and MAJAM152: Please review the previous posts. I did not refer to Mishawaka or the South Bend schools as region schools. I believe it was made by EasyRider. However, since your schools are in the region sem-state(Merrillville is in the region) I do root for your individuals when they are wrestling somone other than a region wrestler. It is no wonder that some of the region fans harbor some hard feelings against people like you that seem to think that there is nothing but scumbags in the region (NORTHWEST INDIANA)
