  1. it was exciting! Wright was on.
  2. awesome, i thought he would be at 135-140 this year.
  3. I think Ramos or Morrison would beat Cashe, and Ramos just got dominated by a freshman from Ohio. Ramos- Iowa Morrison- Oklahoma State Cashe- Purdue If Cashe is better then Harper then why cut any weight and wrestle 130 at sectionals?
  4. Jared Williams took Avon to the state finals and three years later he did the same thing at LN. Trust me, his first year at LN he was given nothing, not even a feeder program. How many state titles did Portage win?
  5. Great coaches in Indiana! Jim Humphrey-Unattached Tim Wright-Catherdral Reggie Wright-Portage Leroy Vega-Mish Eric Douglas-LN These are the coaches that could take indiana to the next level and should be in the drivers seat of Indiana wrestling.. Times have changed in the last 4 years. the regions isn't the only place wrestlers train year around. You can't just work hard, you must have great coaches... Mish proved that last year.
  6. Here are a few 6th-8th Chandler Carrol 7th grade Tommy Forte 6th grade Cody LeCount 7th grade Jacob Cottey 7th grade Mitch Sliga 8th grade Austin Neibarger 8th grade Brandon James 7th grade Neal Molloy 8th grade Stevan Micic 7th grade Levi Moss 8th grade Wesley Bernard 7th grade Nathan Boston 7th grade Tommy Cash 6th
  7. serious keith, Have tyandky list top ten and have a poll to rank them. if someone is left out then add them to the poll. then the public gets to do the rankings. You still get to be the good guy.
  8. TyandKy, Who are the top 10? I don't know but I bet keith can start a poll and find out...
  9. Guys, Show their accomplishments at state and National level. If Rev can do it on a National Level then we should be able to do it on a state level. Good luck. http://revwrestling.com/hsrank.php?c=Middle-Schoolers
  10. First of all I disagree with ranking young wrestlers, and I totally disagree with the points system based on local events. USA wrestling has a ranking system based off of their events, and it has no value IMO. Rankings shouldn't be attached to certain events, It should be more based on level of competion and wins against top opponents. Best pound per pound middle school wrestler in Indiana imo is Chandler Carrol or Cody LeCount. The best elementary wrestler would probably be Tucker or Morgan.
  11. We should get this guy more involved in Indiana wrestling. Watch and see how much his wrestlers improve over the season. This is another reason why Cathedrals head coach is awesome, he surrounds himself with talent. With coach Wright, and the young talent they will do very well in their region for the next several years. My son loves to wrestle for him.
  12. http://www.wrestlingusa.com/02%20wusa%20web%20root/highschoolbest/2008High%20SchoolAllClassRankings.html wright should move up in the rankings after beating #5 Eppert.
  13. That was a nice boot scoot, T-Shirts never got even close to being tired. He used Cashes forward motion against him. If you remember Wright put Cashe on his back near the line, because cashe had a double collar tie and was pushing in hard. Can someone put this match on Flow?????
  14. T-Shirts and Wright in finals at 125.
  15. LN just got beat by Carmel. 21-30...So LN should not be in the top 10.
  16. Y2, Our sport is dying, and if things don't change in the next few years we will not have wrestling at the college level in 20 years. You spent all this time putting together a nice message board to promote our sport, and give us some cheap entertainment, but you want to elliminate a weight class that may eliminate 3% of the wrestlers. Y2, you should be promoting more weight classes, get more kids envolved. What if they said forget Arizona State, it's only one school and they are not that good??? I love to read your post however I wish you would look at the big picture on this. 103 is not my favorite weight class, but it is more exciting then some of the upper weights? Once again, thanks for your time on developing this message board.
  17. Spencer can win state @ 130. He needs to get his condition up and watch out for the ankle pick at the whistle. Cashe' once again showed that his hard snaps, forward and pull down motion can get you tired. I predict if Cashe doesn't get Spencer tired, then Spencer wins. I think he gained confidence this weekend...Coach, Get your wrestler in Shape..
  18. Cashe was big for 125 but Eppert was about the same size with a different body build. Eppert made a few mistakes and Cashe was able to make the needed adjustment during the match to dominate. The LN coaching staff had a great game plan going in. I think Wright will dominate Eppert if he stays away from the underhooks. Eppert wrestles the same way he did when he was at 103, he is only bigger. He will be forced to change his style at the next level. Great job by both wrestlers.
