    There are 4 regionals in a Semi-State - call them A, B, C, and D.

There are a number of formulas that could apply to each bracket, but at the end of the day each one is matching up a first place from one regional (A) against a 4th placer from another regional (D) and a 2nd placer from another regional (B) against 3rd placer from another regional (C) in the first round...

Also, the first placer from each regional is on the same side of the bracket as the 4th placer from their same regional.

And the 2nd and 3rd placers from the same regional are on the same side of the bracket as each other (opposite of the 1st and 4th place from that regional).

Thanks for this.   That made it very clear.

I was on the record saying Purdy was in a tough spot being in that weight class. A couple weeks ago I played basketball with Purdy and was beyond impressed with his athleticism. He’s not much of a basketball player, but an elite athlete and I mean elite, and after that I thought man he’s got a real chance to beat Gabe!

Watching Purdy on the football field every Friday night as starting LB will tell you all you need to know about his athleticism.   Can cover sideline to sideline with the best of them.
