  1. You mean Johnson out of the line up & Wilson in ? Doubt that will have much impact.
  2. Haha. That is funny. Wish Elliot the best & Wilson as well. They have & had no impact on the FC program. 1 didn't make it out of regionals. & the other didn't make it out of sectionals. Good luck to them. I'm just trying to be objective & call it how I see it
  3. How about I go out on a limb and say not 1 of those 4 kids from the Richmond regional at 132 will make it to state. The perry regional alone will wipe them all out!!!!!

  5. They were wrong & are wrong. He teched that kid & no one came close to him the rest of the day. No worries. He might have another shot at bane in semi state & I'm guessing it might be a different result
  6. Hate to tell you that you are wrong but vaughn teched the centerville kid. Made himlook silly.
  7. I wouldn't say killed is the right word. He lost 8-1 to a really good cox. And with no practice for 5 days, I'm sure it's understandable how a few kids will be a little rusty. Also it's not like these schools don't have any good wrestlers. I would say losing 2 or 3 matchs out of 14 is about what is expected out of FC at this tourney
  8. Not sure if I was watching the same wrestling as everyone else but from what I saw franklin central dominated going 5-0 with the closest team losing to them by 40
  9. I admit I was off on catherdral but since you read my posts, you should remember that I softened my position on them somewhat as they were dealing with injuries & losing to franklin by 6 points. If you go back , you will see that I was correct in my latest post saying perry would get 4th at best & top 3 could be any thereof franklin, EMD or Penn depending on lineups & injuries. I caught just as much grief over that post as well if I remember correctly. And yes I am NOT a cathedral grad as I even went as far as saying I don't even like them because of their recruiting.

  11. Catherdral 3 studs? That is pretty funny. Bernard, Cosaro, Rypel, Harvey, Bailey, Stewert. There are 6 studs I would take to battle with me any day. Then throw in their 2nd tier guys in Turner, Larson, Devine, Guhl. Not bad if you ask me.
  12. I guess when you are on top of the mountain, people want to knock you off. No disrespect to Perry as they have the program others want. It sounds like you understand this Zach and should take it as a compliment. I am simply trying to talk about the reasons why I think there may be a changing of the guard. If Perry pulls this tourney out, then by all means they will be the champion of champions. I however don't see it happening. Too many tough teams to get through!
  13. Not trying to offend you Zach or any of the Perry people. I'm just saying this tournament is a step up in competition. Your 106lb Hawkins has NO chance against Perry's 3 most dangerous opponents in MD, Penn, and Cath and will have a battle with Franklin's 106. Not taking anything away from him as he is a decent wrestler. He just can't help them win a team championship. As far as Tonte goes, kind of the same problem. Yes he is good, but he is a Freshman and I just don't think he is at the level of the competition in this tournament. No doubt in my mind, in a year or two he will be a stud. Just not on Jan 4th at this tournament. Your 160lb and 220lb got 5th at Marion County last week. I'm sure you will let me know when and if I am proved to be wrong. Can't wait for the 4th
  14. Perry didn't use their 06, 60, 70, or Hwt last yr to help them win anything. I believe 1 or 2 weak links could be enough to keep a team from winning THIS tournament let alone 4 weak links!
  15. Perry will be lucky to get 3rd. More likely for them is 4th or 5th. They have 2 elite wrestlers in James and Lecount. Then they have 3 pretty good wrestlers in Elliot, Cottey, and Kenny. The rest of their line up is very vulnerable when facing this kind of competition. Does anyone really believe they put kids out there at 06, 38, 52, 60, 70, 82, 95, 220, and Hwt that will be favorites in most matchups at this event? Maybe I will be proven wrong? Doubt it. I'll take Catherdral, Penn, EMD, and Franklin as my top 4 in any order depending on brackets and if they are at full strength. Penn and EMD can probably still win even if they lose 1 or 2 guys to injury where Catherdral and Franklin must be at full strength to have a shot.
  16. FC is better than Warren with the lineup they will bring to the Marion Cty tourney tomorrow. They have some really good wrestlers & a few more good ones that are under the radar
  17. Predictions anyone??? I say this one is closer than one might expect. 1st Perry but not a blow out 2nd FC 3rd Warren 4th Ben Davis 5th LN

  19. Larson beats the freshman. Cathedral wins not to mention Stewart doesn't get injured, Stewart doesn't get pinned & maybe even wins! Need I say more?
  20. I guess it makes a big difference when you don't have your full line up!!!

  22. My point is that these 3 freshman are the real deal & only by seeing them in person will one understand that they are not too far away from those other 4. I would even venture to say they will surpass their level before they are done. Also keep in mind that their 170 is really a 10th grader in age. ( like Forte was as as freshman)
  23. 45,60,82,Hwt then 06,13,70 (three stud freshman) & 52. That makes 8. Of course as freshman, people will not give them credit for being on that level, but when you see them in person, you soon realize just how good they are not to mention the level they will be at as seniors! Awesome discussion on this topic and I can't wait to see how it plays out!
  24. White is very solid & will make some noise come tournament time. Bailey was in complete control & the best way I can put it is you just have to watch him to understand how good he is.
  25. Yes Drew is tuff. All I'm saying is I think Bailey gives him all he wants & has a good chance of beating him. When I refer to him as a little over ranked, I'm just saying I like a few others over him such as Egli, Cummings, Konrath, Reitz even though he just lost in OT to him & of course Bailey. & last point place or no place, Harvey at 145 is a beast this yr & I stand by my statement that Penn's 145 has no chance!
