    Disco I agree you are right on. Jeff I also agree that anyone who bleed on the mat has different standards. But it is those standards that lead to the questions about the staff. Wrestlers, parents and anyone who bled on the mat as you call it should hold the staff at any school to the highest standard and expectations. IU is in dire need of changes from administration down to coaching staff.

    Wow, straight out of the Simmns/Goldman coaching book. You all need to drop one weight in order,to win. We all new Goldman struggled as a coach, but he brings in Simmons who was 125. What have the light weights done since he showed up

    If Brands is talking smack to the wrestlers then yes Goldman first then Simmons should be able to defend IU.

    Well his actions at Oregeon State and on Twitter would lead one to think different about your comment about being a punk. So for clarity who started the Bs at Iowa, Gillman or Simmons.

    Why would he give the day off against Coon, you would think it would be a good gage to see where he falls in Big 10 rankings. When did weaver get hurt, will he be back this year? Did not see anywhere where the Brands Brothers were talking mess to IU coaches and wrestlers, just seen the reference on Simmons. you would think with his past issues IU would have him on a tight rope. if Brands brothers were jawing to IU wrestlers then I guess Simmons can do the same.

    Haven't been here in a while, but looking for thoughts Why did Goldman not wrestle his son agianst Coon Where is Weaver who was supposed to be 149 but they cut to 141 What is everyone thoughts about Simmons running his mouth at Iowa to Gillman

    Ok I will meet you half way, but I still have to question what Goldman and Simmns have done over the years. Good win against Minny, but based on your comment they hav strung some nice wins together. SIUE is not a top D1 team and based on looking at EMU they should be D2 and we all know what Manchester is.

    Easy there Jeff, Great wins by Blanton as individual, but it is not like SIUE,EMU have much D1 talent and everyone knows Minnesota is on one of there worst down years in a while

    Gentleman, just stay on the bandwagon as coaches to the program or relatives. But you both know had Dubuque left sooner IU would not have any Ny/NJ boys. Also, did you guys endorse the IU coach who punched a wrestler

    Matt, you have defended Goldman and Simmons for a long time. Let me ask you this, if you were the AD would you consider a national runner up who stated in the press that he did not listen to the coaches but went back and worked with his dad. As AD would you consider the weight assessment issues this year as a positive or negative. As AD would you endorse a assistant coach who punch a team member in the head which eliminated the 18 year olds ability to wrestle?

    So with no news is it safe to say Goldman and Simmons are safe after this year.

    So what does IU do to address the problems with wrestling? Or with all the other issues at others does Goldman and his staff get another pass? Even after the weight certification error this year with a new trainer Their main wrestler this year was vocal and honest last year along with this year that he wrestles his style and not the coaches style

    IU would love to send 8 to NCAA, if you don't want Ersland send him to Bloomington or tell Hinkel to call Bloomington

    Wish your son the best of luck, unfortunately IU staff has failed to help develop talent the last couple of years and has lost many wrestlers over the years. The error that was made in weight certification is unacceptable for a Division1 college coaching staff

    Jeff, great points on last years class let me ask several questions as you seem close to the coaches So where does it rate to previous incoming classes? How does IU have forfeits this year at certain weights? How did IU not have a hwy going into the season What happen with Certification this year, is it true a pre-test was sent into the NCAA by mistake? How many certifications does the NCAA allow? What happen to the trainer from last year Why did LeBlanc leave? Why did IU wrestle SUIE twice this year? Are the rumors true about a assistant coaching red shirts at tournaments true?

    Poor planning and wishful thinking, these guys are supposed to be D1 coaches in the big ten. We should not be making excuses for them. There is more to this, you do not have several wrestlers move up two weights without some thing being wrong the years before. When will IU address this,

    GearFreak, you are dead on with this. Not sure why they continue to allow this to take place in Bloomington.

    The question that needs to be asked is why all of the quitting and transfers from IU? Why are the light weights last year up two weights? Why was there no heavy weight for this year? And the big one that know one addressed why did LeBlanc leave at the big ending of the season lasted year for Brown and then leave for Northern Colorado

    Yep on their roster they have 1-125 2-133 5-141 4-149 Three of the 141 were at 125 last year and must have hit growth spurts .

    The question is why do they not have 125? Does coaching not attract talent? over the years how much D1 talent did Goldman run away from IU
