  1. I don't think economics even came into play on the realignment. I feel the IHSAA wanted Reitz at Castle to make sure the scales for weigh in's are not tinkered with. I do have a solution to this which may make both Castle and Reitz fans happy. Lets say next year we move Reitz back to Central and just let Mater Dei skip the Sectionals and just advance all of their wrestlers to regionals. They will switch back and fourth each weight class wrestling a match against a 4 seed and will then advance to face a one seed in the next round. ;D
  2. Hook and Half....I think you are just a bit too harsh on Bluebolt, and you might have used a few words which went over his head. I think one clear point is no matter what the state of Southern Indiana wrestling "The Wildcat" is still far and above other programs in depth of program, and will be getting stronger in the next few years. You will just have to rise above the haters....as long as there is high school wrestling there will be envy of "Wildcat" facts or not.
  3. I think G would take him from his feet to his back....probably stick him.
  4. I would say Merriville is a pretty safe bet on most champs in the last five years, followed by New Castle, Evansville, and Fort Wayne. Da region has been blessed with a number of large schools who really push wrestling.
  5. Well said Jon H the message board is for fans. I in no way tried to put any undue pressure on the kids from Mater Dei by perdicting 12 to semi state. I was just putting my opinion up for debate. I hope for good competative wrestling this weekend with zero injuries, and lets hope the kids settel it on the mat not the ref's. Lets hope a bad take down call at the edge of the circle or bad stalling call doesn't keep a boy or girl from advancing. From the pot belliest of the pot bellies.....Chi Town Hustler.
  6. I think there will be a problem with holding a meet on Saturn. Due to the size of the planet and the gravity involved the first weight class would start about 2,000,106. I might pitch a for one of the far moons of saturn. The other big draw back is travel time. Until the warp drive is invented we are pretty much screwed on any site other than our own moon.
  7. You know that inter galatic match never took place because they could never agree on free style or folk style.
  8. After consulting with InterMat, NASA, and a few Harvard Statisticians it is clear that the Wildcat will be sending 12 to semi state this year. The number of champions is up for debate, but I see the possibality of 4 if they wrestle to their potential. A tribute to a young team with allot of injuries.
  9. I think the only thing worse for A. Johnson would be to eat his fathers cooking. Word on the street is he puts enough hot sauce in his food to make a cajun sweat or an old Thi lady push away from the table.....Bring on the hot sauce it is sure to be explosive Saturday.
  10. Jon H I think your top 4 are pretty much on at Castle on Saturday. I for sure see a Davis / Johnson rematch of the SIAC finals at 120. Anyone on here who called Johnson a conservative wrestler has not seen many of his matches this year. You really see NP getting two in the finals?
  11. It shouldn't be too tought to figure out. Just figure 1 - 4 3 - 2 on th top and 2 -3 4 -1 on the bottom of the two feeding sectionals.
  12. MD reported to have six champs so far no particulars.
  13. Keep to these simple rules and you have a successful run from Saturday to a trip under the lights next month in Indy. First…make sure you take it one match at a time. Wait back up…First, be the hardest working kid in the wrestling room, and then make sure you take it one match at a time. Now is the time that one loss could send you home. So please step it up every rung of the tournament. It goes without saying “Don’t get caught”. I would also recommend that it never hurts to dominate the completion. If you do this at the end of the day when you stand on the top of the podium people will recognize that you were dominant. Finally, if all else fails when you get on the mat: “MAKE SOME NOISE”. ;D
  14. I am in the who cares what happened last week. From most peoples predictions for Castle sectional champions the Panther should have no trouble walking off the mat with the trophy Saturday afternoon. Panther nation should be thankful that they will be dealing with those "Super Quick Castle Wrestlers", and not the Mater Dei Wildcat this weekend. Well that's how I see it. ;D
  15. I agree that Castle will have more wide open classes with what looks to be on paper more balance top to bottom. It looks like MD will put allot in the finals if they wrestle to form.
  16. Let us not forget about the wrestlers who put their singlets on both legs at the same time. I have been told if you attempt this without an athletic supporter you are sure to make some noise.
  17. Would it be safe to say MD is Dominate today. Word on the street is they were going to make some noise. That is unless they get caught.
