  1. Lets make it easy...lets just ask for your predictions for the Central Sectional...
  2. I have been trying to get any info from every school. I cant get anyone to budge. I have tried to find out where Welch and Brown are going...zero info. Reitz is a mad house...Mater Dei too. Kelly and Kemper are supposed to go 138 and 145 again. Harrisons Mastison is a toss up for 113 or 120 with no verified decision. Wedding is rumoured to be going 126 again but thats hard to imagine. So...thats all I got.
  3. He could at least give his thoughts on the champion of each weight...yes?
  4. Lets just get the seasons started!!
  5. Reitz and Mater Dei have a log jam at the lower weights. Reitz from 106-126 should be the toughest in Indiana. Kuhn is small but so is Ferguson. I say Kuhn or Ferguson at 106 with the other at 113 and Johns was cutting last year and could go 126 or 132. Davis, Kuhn and Bruce could all go 120. I think Kuhn is too small to go 120. That means Davis or Bruce at 120 and Johns at 126 would be my guess. Mater Dei has a couple of beasts coming in and it will really rattle the SIAC plus they have several returning SQ.
  6. Kemper and Kelly from Central...anybody else from Central going to stand out?
  7. Ahhhhhh...that jogs my brain. Yeah, should be a motivating factor to do that well and get that close. Wasn't there a coaching change at North this year?
  8. what weight class were/are they?
  9. I am looking forward to seeing how far Castles Welch and Brown go too.
  10. Not really. It depends on who works the hardest in the off season. I know there are some pretty underclassmen and freshman coming in. Reitz and Mater Dei will have some solid wrestlers come in from JV as well. Memorial impressed me the most last year with the kids improving so much.
  11. I thought Central Sectional sent 18 kids to state. I think a majority were underclaasmen. Should be some new blood on the scene as well.
  12. They have some great returning wrestlers and made the biggest improvement in the Central Sectional last year. Any idea who will be at what weights next year? What weight will Wedding be at? Any ideas?
  13. Pretty impressive for any team to have three kids go D-1 from one class. Congratulations Reitz and wrestlers.
  14. Surprise, surprise, surprise...Gomer Pyle
  15. Until the Castle sectional gets Memorial or Reitz or Mater Dei or even Central in their sectional (never happening) I predict domination by Central again.
  16. What kind of teams are these 4 bringing next year? Are there some reserves waiting in the wings to make an impact right away? Anyone have any knowledge?
  17. Boston injured his thumb one match before he got to Lovejoy and withdrew from the tournament. Davis from Reitz wrestled Boston first round and was beating Boston but gave up four points in the third on a reversal and tilt and Boston won 7-4. Davis wrestled very well and got the first takedown to Bostons surprise. Schweizer from MD is in the semi finals and looks good too.
  18. I saw in the newspaper this past weekend that Ferguson went 106, Davis went 126 with Bruce at 113 and Todrank at 132. Kuhn wasnt mentioned so I guess he skipped that one. Davis at 126 is a stretch for next year but 120 is not. Kuhn is small and could make 113 pretty easy.
  19. there were several ranked juniors and seniors that were beat out at Regionals and Semi-State...ask them if this weighg class is weak. Any kid that gets this far is not weak. Show some respect here.
  20. Davis pinned Stock last week. Stock has never beat Davis. I agree about LaHue though...he has some nice takedowns and will go far. Johnson had a bad match. Shoettle did well in that match against Johnson.
  21. I like LaHue and have also seen Brandon James live. I dont see LaHue getting past James for one reason alone and that reason is James has a ton of talent in his room. He is getting pushed from everyone in his practice room every day. That will be the difference. James is ridiculously talented.
  22. Shoettle is a great wrestler. This isnt a thread about Davis vs Shoettle from Novembers match. I saw the video and if I remember Davis got a reversal and the score was 6-4 in the final seconds until Davis dove for a take down. I was not there and could be wrong but Im very confident I am right. Either way...Davis wrestled LaHue much better than Sheottle on this particular day...that I did see. Its all match ups and November matches mean nothing in February. Johnson, Davis, Sheottle and LaHue are all 4 great young wrestlers and are all 4 respectful to each other. Let them enjoy this moment. Im sure they will all meet again in the future and I hope all 4 make some noise at state.
  23. LaHue 4 Davis 2 in the Semi-Final. He was never in trouble but Davis wasn't either. It was a nice takedown that beat Davis. LaHue 6 Shoettle 3 in finals. Shoettle was overmatched in every way. LaHue has a pretty clear path to the Semi-Finals and I would expect him to perform well.
  24. Mater Dei has kids on JV right now that could qualify. Reitz has Ferguson on JV behind Davis. Davis was stuck behind Kuhn and Johns last year. Mater Dei has a JV kid ready to step in at every weight.
