  2. Haha. I hate autocorrect lol. I can't get all the matches and the 3/4 place matches with both gyms. I tried to get caught up. Just couldn't. So I focused on the finals lol

  4. yes we know what the PM roster looks like...now tell us your picks to win lol
  5. i just changed my mind at 160. i just looked up belmonts 160 and he is quite the impressive freshman. his 5 losses would also be union citys 5 losses. union city just doesnt wrestle anything close to the bellmont schedule
  6. you...i mean, HE will have an easier sectional than conference lol
  7. i say hinshaw too...who you got? i feel thats a weak class
  8. that just makes too much sens for the suits i guess. but yea, kinda what im saying lol
  9. This has gotten buried in this thread so i'm posting it again especially since today is the day for conference finally. Im also adding to it a few little things... fun facts: 2 years ago, the TEC had 2 wrestlers enter the tournament undefeated and remained undefeated. they were Kyle Walters from Union City and Cody Phillips from Union County. Last year we had just one - freshman 220 Cody McMillian from Hagerstown (record of 0-0) but last year we had 4 wrestlers with only 1 loss: Winchesters 106 Garringer (24-1), Tri's 120 Craft (10-1), Union City's 152 Wyatt (30-1) and Union Citys 182 Antonoglou (32-1). 3 of the 4 wrestlers that entered with 1 loss went on to be TEC champs. The one that didnt was Tri's 120 Wes Craft who was beat in the championships by Centerville's Dakota Tipton. This year we have 3 undefeated...106 Harris from Union City (3-0), 160 Anguiano from Union City (26-0) & 182 Harding from Tri (0-0). Two years ago, only one wrestler was unseeded and appeared in the championship match: Union Countys Brian Mathews...last year, he was unseeded again (no respect). Mathews did not advance to the championship round as he did the year before from being unseeded but he did finish 3rd thus pulling off an upset...but we did have 2 other unseeded wrestlers make it to the finals last year and that was Union City's Charlie Baron at 170 and 160 Lane Blake from Tri. Both are seeded this year. 2 years ago the TEC produced 4 state qualifiers: Cody Phillips, Kyle Walters, Cody Handley, Austin Fuller (Phillips and Walters graduated). Then last year Cody Handley was the lone state qualifier who has since graduated along with Austin Fuller. How many and who will go to state this year? 2 years ago, out of the 14 weight classes, 12 #1 seeds went on to become TEC champs. the other 2 champs were #2 seeds. Last year, of the 14 weight classes, 10 TEC champs were #1 seeds, 3 were number 2 seeds and we did see a champ come from outside the top 2 seeds and that was 3 seed Wyatt Krom from Union County at 160. Last year, two wrestlers won their 4th conference title, Fuller 132 and Handley 145. No freshman won a championship last year and nobody was going for their 3rd so it will be a long time before we see another 4x champ. I believe a freshman or two are capable of winning this year so maybe in a few years there is a possible 4x conference champ. (top freshmen: cam coffman, colten handley, brandon purtha, chase newton, david castle, jared hangen, vince prescott, chase mosley, clark minges???)
  10. in last years 145 bracket in the link i posted earlier, #1 seed and senior Hartman (UC) 24-4 wrestles first round match against unseeded senior Haakinson (BA) 21-11 (12). while further down in the bracket, sophmore Day (FC) 7-14 wrestles sophmore Ford (CO) 9-5 and worse than that, freshman Schneider (LA) 1-2 receives a first round bye. and people actually agreed to that? wow!
  11. excactly! its not right and people obviously arent using common sense. nothing about that says its right and its in almost every bracket. i need everyone to send me their brackets for approval and final modification before submitting please and thank you! lol
  12. these arent pig tail matches. this was the standard 16 man bracket like in the shelbyville sectional that was mentioned and in the south dearborn sectional last year. that first round is still win or go home. there are forfeits and byes throughout the rest of those brackets yet the #1 had to wrestle. just doesnt make sense. here is a link to that SD sectional bracket. my scenario was 113. but also look at 145 and tell me why it was seeded as such with the 1 seed wrestling a guy with that record. i would be ticked to be a one seed there lol. whats the point in "earning" that spot? http://indianamat.com/brackets/2013/SouthDearborn.pdf
  13. i doubt if i can update it live tonight being in 2 gyms but i will try: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmBzEZAWlS_0dFV1RUs5TWlVSHFFekpvemE4TGd6emc&usp=sharing
  14. why isnt franklin county sectional up?
  15. i stand corrected as i just looked...he was 5-4 going into sectionals last year so more than 1 or 2 matches. but the rest of the story is still the same except is is seeded 2 this year with a record of 26-6...it is conference that i was thinking about where he is seeded 1.
  16. so i guess this greenfield kid will just have to beat the 1 seed and force the ihsaa to change the way they do brackets lol. the 1 seed is only ranked 7th in the state, ouch. what a shame tho, as im sure he would have place at least 4th. i saw this kid beat the cathedral kid who placed 8th at spartan classic as well as had a good match against the 7th placer at spartan who is ranked 12th in NCSS
  17. last year at the south dearborn sectional, a 1 seed had a first round match similar to this 138 you speak of. Union county had a kid ineligible all year due to grades and therefore didnt have but 1 or 2 matches. he had to wrestle the 1 seed. He almost beat the 1 seed and sent him home packing from the first round. it very well could have happened too as this unseeded wrestler is really good, was just ineligible. that 1 seed won sectionals but his toughest match of the day was that first round match. this year, that unseeded kid, was eligible and is seeded 1. lol they need to fix it!
  18. I believe this is incorrect. even when you look at the bracket on trackwrestling, it shows the loser bracket picking up the loser of 2nd round matches meaning those first round losers are done, season over. It is a shame for this kid as he is a good wrestler and can probably beat at least 2 maybe 3 others in that bracket. i watch him wrestle at spartan classic. he even has a better record than others that will get the chance to wrestle for 3/4. this whole seeding thing needs fixed, just use common sense and seed them right.
  19. totally unbiased. i have no dogs in the fight. i just know a few of the wrestlers: 106 mendez (bel), mosser (ac) 113 abbot (jc), becker (bell) 120 miller (sa), gunsett (bel) 126 gray (bel), ray (jc) 132 bates (ac), hutker (bel) 138 ellinger (ac), nussbaum (sa) 145 liter (ac), marbach (sa) 152 braun (bel), finnerty (jc) 160 baumgartner (bel), anguiano (uc) 170 luginbill (ac), kohler (jc) 182 hinshaw (sa), terriquez (uc) 195 friedt (bel), burk (uc) 220 kilsby (sa), fuelling (ac) 285 hemmelgarn (jc), bollenbacher (ac)
  20. you like to do that sometimes...its ok, i think i dish it out more than i get so im sure you owed it to me lol
  21. if i REALLY wanted to get crazy with it and put more time and effort into it, i would do a minimum of 16. I mean, thats how many go to semi state so why not rank that many at least, then throw a few others in there. For example. Look at new castle 152. that class is so deep, that 3x semi state qualifier chandler hale is ranked 20th there. will he make it back to semi state a 4th time? absolutely. why is he ranked 20th then? because he probably isnt as good as the ones in front of him. but he will come from a weaker regional than someone from perry meridian regional. There are 8 ranked guys from PM regional ahead of Hale. half of those guys, although maybe better than hale, wont make it out and onto semi state where hale will. By the way, i know you get this, im spelling it out this way for someone who might not.
  22. i think 12-15 is a good number...some classes drop off quick but others are deep. vary it depending on that. thats what i would do
  23. I was at this fictional match where G beat A. It was the same ref from the EIAC tourney and after A pinned G, the coach got mad, cursed at the ref and the ref reversed the pin call, allowed some fluke move to score points and that's how G won. It wasn't legit so common sense and logic says the way you have them listed is proper seeding. It happens, read the EIAC thread. Also, I talked to G's make believe mom and he is leaving the school for a private baptist school next year in hopes to win the new baptist league championship.
  24. Keep up the good work zach. It's a ton to keep up with and u won't please everyone. I know how that goes. I like yours better than the other semi state as you try to include more than just top 8 or so. It lets people see who to keep an eye on. Anybody can pick top 8 in a given semi state. Gets a lot more tough after that lol.
