Nicely put coach. I love the TEC as its always competitive and full of good kids. I will definately be there cheering them all on. Of course, I have my favorite team but when you watch this same group of kids wrestling for years and years and see them grow and mature, you get to know these kids from other schools and cant but cheer them on as well. I talk to many wrestlers from other schools in the TEC and beyond and they know I am there to support them even though I may wear a differnet color shirt than them. thats is why this sport is awesome. You get the team aspect and the individual accomplishments at the same time. These kids can be rivals on the mat and buddies off and I see it every year. The only thing I hate about it is it is too short and almost done

most weight classes appear to be a 2 man race or a lock with the exception of 152 looking the toughest. 138 is no easy class either. I will post my predictions with names later. lets get some predictions out there to talk about.

  8. Michaels was still out last night and tipton bumped up to wrestle gavin one last time. Gavin had beaten tipton 3 times now I believe and tipton finally beat gavin last night 9-2. Not sure where they all will line up at in conference now but will soon find out as seed meeting is tonight.

I GOT BRACKETS! I GOT BRACKETS! I GOT BRACKETS! umm, crap, thats not the brackets, thats my lunch menu...dang it, i want the brackets!!!!!!
  10. i agree. most jv kids seem to never get on the mat. they dont care if its not a varsity match, they just want to compete and have theri family cheering them on. i have never understood why that doesnt happen. isnt mat time/competing where you learn the best?
  11. he didnt learn his lesson from that last year unfortunately. He has been DQ'd over and over again this season for similar things. Just before stepping on the scales earlier this year, he was spotted swallowing his own saliva. he was informed that was illegal rehydration. then the next week he was spotted spitting it out. He was DQ'd again for trying to cut weight (he was wrestling up 2 weight classes that day). he has only made it into 3 matches this year and is 3-0 but each win was a different weight class. He is one of very few who are technically undefeated in every single weight class, yet still doesnt get ranked. no respect. he really worked on his skills during the summer too as he wrestled in ISWA...well he tried anyway. He was wearing his schools singlet and was DQ'd for that too.
  12. yea, i remember, isnt he the one that the coach gave him a water bottle to while they were weighing in and even though he didnt drink it, the ref said the condesation from the bottle absorbed into his hands and would give him an unfair advantage and DQ'd him? a he was on a mission last year year too. I remember cause he was making all kinds of noise.
  13. I know this one wrestler that isnt huge but he weighs the same as everyone else in his weight class. He doesn't make much noise so he hasn't said what his mission statement is but I would guess he is on some sort of mission. I would say he is a force to be wreckened with on occasion yet isn't ranked at semi state although he could probably rank in the top 8 in his conference. Is he allowed to wrestle during the state series?

centerville lost by 20 (47 to 27 i believe). cant remember all but going from memory with centerville wrestler listed first...tipton in an upset win over gavin cox 9-2, killion pinned underwood, robinson pinned by hangen, calderon lost, deloney lost, centerville ff 285, markley lost by 1 to garringer, jenkinson won, allen won by pin, bell lost by pin, burelison lost, smith lost by pin to rascon. simpson and michaels were not in lineup or present.

open to the public or at least die hard TEC fans? serving pizza? where is it, i want in? fine, i will wait like all the others
  16. He wrestled last thursday and looked good so I don't know. I know he hurt his shoulder I think at spartan classic but thought he was healed bring he wrestled since
  17. sounds like a good match. If michaels from centerville is wrestling tomorrow at the dual (been out for a week with flu), that should give some idea of whether or not gavin gets his conference championship on saturday. Michaels will be his toughest opponent in TEC but gavin should still win, especially tomorrow as michaels should be weak and not in shape just yet. Hopefully gavin can whip michaels into shape for conference lol. Both great wrestlers and good kids.
  18. Haha, not quite, I have no bias toward either. Just pointing out the bad officiating for a match if this caliber. You know this ref. The skinny bald younger guy that trends to miss alot of calls. He refs in our area alot, your area too.

That ain't gonna happen. Bowers is good. I like the kid and I cheer for him but today, tipton from centerville just went 120 at tri super duals
