  7. OK, thanks. Should be a great experience this weekend.
  8. Is that the parking lot that is just South of Banker's Life (Conseco) Fieldhouse?
  9. Any recommendations of where to park a 15 passenger bus for the Indiana State Finals in Indy? Anything reasonably priced close to the old Conseco Field House?

  14. You mean questionable non-call. The overwhelming reaction of the crowd was shock and disbelief that Todd got put to his back and almost pinned. It could have been called either way, but Todd did a great job fighting off his back and finished the rest of the match looking very strong.
  15. YES, Frankton is looking very strong this year and should have a decent showing at the sectional. But don't count out Lapel who is having one of their best seasons also.
  16. The brackets are posted. Hit the "HOME" drop down menu. Then hit the "Brackets" drop down menu. Then you will see the first of the brackets is for "Sectionals", hit that and it will then show the different sectional bracket choices. Hope this helps.

  18. No, you can go up one weight class above your actual "scratch weight", which means if you weigh in at 145 you can wrestle 145 and wrestle up at the 152 weight class. So in my estimation it doesn't make sense to weigh in one weight class above your actual "scratch weight". Doing so locks you into only one weight class, because you can't drop back down after the weight class is "closed" at the official weigh-in. YES, you can weigh-in several wrestlers at one weight class. If you have three wrestlers at all 14 weight classes you can weigh them all in and they are all eligible to wrestle at that weight class. Coaches can move wrestlers at super duals as long as they don't drop them below their "weigh-in" class, or only move them up one weight class above their "scratch weight".
  19. I guess the thing that amazes me is that there is so much confusion over Rule 4, Section 5, Art. 3 which says "When all wrestlers for a weight class have had an opportunity to weigh in and the next class is called, that weight class is closed." Maybe it would be helpful to have an explanation of this rule in the NFHS Case Book.
  20. I would agree that officials cannot keep track of where everyone weighed in at, but the official in this scenario was called by the head coach to the scorer's table and made aware of the wrestler dropping down to the lower weight class than what he weighed in at. The official said it was OK because his actual weight was within the range to qualify at the lower weight. I am not sure why he interpreted the rules that way when in reality he should have been made to wrestle at the weight he weighed in at.
  21. The situation is a real & recent situation but I have used hypothetical weight classes to keep actual wrestler's names and schools out of the dialogue. The team that dropped down one of their weighed in "138 lb" wrestlers to the lower "132" weight class didn't weigh-in any body at the next lower "132" weight class.
  22. If a wrestler who actually weighs 132 lbs. but purposely weighs in at the 138 weight class to give the appearance of wrestling at the 138 weight class, and is even presented at the dual meet "walk over" as planning to wrestle 138, then be legally allowed to drop down at that dual meet and wrestle 132? To me it doesn't seem like it should be "legal" to pull a tactical move like this in order to get a scoring advantage, but I saw it happen. IS IT LEGAL?
