It might make it harder for them to win a sectional, but it DEFINITELY makes it easier to win a state championship. With the current system, they still have to "beat" these tough teams, whether through defeating them directly or beating a team that beat them. With a classed system, there would be less teams competing for the title, which means less rounds in the tournament, the absence of some significantly good teams, and less of a chance for upsets. Plus people would just assume the 3A champ was the best. THIS is why Mishawaka or Perry would be proponents of classed wrestling.
It is preposterous to think that winning the 3A class championship would be harder than winning the state championship in its current form.
