Faninthestands
My son came home and he said that the coaches were saying that another team used the records of the kids who wrestled JV. Can you do that? Doesn't seem right to me, but what do I know..
tommyho
No that's wrong , only varsity records count , but it's pretty much the honor system when it comes to w-l records unless u actually follow other teams and go to all there meets..a coach should never use jv records that's very unhonorable !!! Faninthestands
That's what I thought. Like you said it would be very hard to "Police" the offenders.
WarriorDad
It can also be very confussing also a school in our conf has a varsity A & B and then a JV team and will send all three out on a Saturday to three different varsity trny. Even the kids on the so called JV team will be wrestling in a trny with other varsity teams. I know when my son was freshman a kid that wrestled JV in the dual meet ended up wrestling in the sectional and his record was from those trny that he wrestled in. It is very much the honor system but I have found that coaches are good about policing themselves.
