Six Team Jeff wrestlers recently qualified to compete in the high school division at the ASICS USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after strong showings at the Warren Central High School qualifier in Indianapolis. Jeff?s Alonzo Shepherd placed second in his weight class to lead all Team Jeff wrestlers. Also posting top-eight finishes were Ryan Dewitt (sixth place) and Brandon Spangler (seventh place). Representing Indiana from Jeffersonville to compete for All-America titles are Shepherd at 119 pounds, Dewitt at 285, Spangler at 171, Jordan Schremp at 135, Eddie Kaster at 171 and Brett Kempf at 135. The USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals will be held on March 31 through April 2 at the Uni-Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. ?National recognition will help colleges find out about (our wrestlers),?
