WRESTLING: Three Red Devils, one Highlander qualify for state By MATT KOESTERS Matt.Koesters@newsandtribune.com The Jeffersonville News and Tribune Sat Feb 12, 2011, 11:39 PM EST EVANSVILLE ? Jeffersonville had three wrestlers qualify for the state tournament, including two semistate championship performers at Evansville Reitz on Saturday. The Red Devils? Alonzo Shepherd claimed the semistate crown at 112, and Renaldo Weekly finished first at 145. Also for Jeffersonville, Jimmy Pratt placed second at 215, good enough to advance to the state tournament. Brandon Marlin placed sixth in the 160-pound weight class. Floyd Central sophomore Terrence Kennedy qualified for the state tournament by placing third at 103. For New Albany, Jacob Mudd finished sixth at 285. The top four finishers at semistate in each weight class will compete in the individual state tournament in Indianapolis.
