AC Computer
Does your school need to be participating in an event in order for your wrestler to weigh in and have it count as a weigh in? We have a wrestler who came out late and needs to find 1 more weigh in before sectional. It wasn't a concern until the varsity wrestler above him had a season ending injury and now this is our only possible entry for sectional. If we can find an event, JV or Varsity, near-by can we weigh him in even though our team isn't entered?
thebestthatneverwas
Plain and simple NO, he can not.
Boot
Would it be feasible for AC to get added to a tournament, weigh in just 1 wrestler, and then forfeit and go home? That wouldn't mess up any brackets and would get him the weigh in with the least amount of disruption.

GrecoCoach
Plain and simple NO, he can not. That is not completely true. I know there have been a few situations where the IHSAA has allowed this. I know there have been other situations where they have not.

I'll pass that on to the coaches. We wouldn't have had this problem if the snow last Tuesday wouldn't have canceled our JV tournament.
