The Crimson Wave wrestling team ended the day at the Ben McMullen Open, hosted by Muskegon Community College, with one champion and two second place finishers. Freshman Tony Lovejoy was 4-0 on the day at 133 pounds and added to the list of wrestlers that have already qualified for nationals bringing the team total to six. Lovejoy capped his impressive day with a pin in the finals of the tournament, over Cody Dill of Alfred to be named champion. Rounding out the Crimson Wave's place winners were Sophomores Derek Allen and John Tyler. Both wrestlers built on strong performances from last week and each turned in second place finishes with 3-1 records. The team will next be in action against Purdue University on Friday November 19th at 7:00 pm. This will mark the schools first ever home match.
