pm1981 Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 Franklin had to forfeit 6 weight classes to us last night. They are in quite a bind. They are not allowed to use 6th graders on their middle school team. That would really put a hurt on our program also. The final team score was 116-10. They have excellent coaching as one of the former high school coaches is now helping out at the middle school. All of their wrestlers battled hard and were very polite. The Varsity winners were: Jacob Cottey, Tyler Fleener, Corey Rutledge, Kyler Fleener, Cody Lloyd, Nick Bova, Aidan Kenny, Kyle Morden, Logan Feigal, Carl Kelly, Jesse Phillips, Brandon Gutzwiler, Matt Kelly, Joe Cung, Jake Masengale, Keanu Cooper, Cody Smith, Wes Bernard, Dustin Wilde, and Donte Winfield. There were 8 reserve matches wrestled. Perry won 4 out of the 8 matches. JV winners were: A. Garcia, J. Garcia, K. Koehring and Gus Mariscal.
