The tournament was held December 27th.  There were 15 teams that participated from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.  This years tournament was loaded with talent.  Cincinnati Moeller brought a great group of kids as did Campbell County Kentucky.  The top three teams finished close together at the top.  Perry Meridian had 274 to Moellers 231.5.  Moeller had one wrestler not make weight and two other kids were out of town.  It would have been a barn burner.  It was a great experience for all of our wrestlers.  Perry Meridian place winners were:  80 lbs. Jacob Cottey.  It was a loaded weight class and the first one that Ohio starts with.  Jacob only weighed 73 lbs and finished 3rd.  86 lbs.  Tyler Fleener won the weight class and only weighed 78.  Cory Rutledge got 5th place @ 92.  He gave up 9lbs also.  6th graders cannot wrestle in this tournament, so that is why we had to move guys around and give up so much weight in the first 3 weight classes.  Nick Bova won the 98 lb class.  Aiden Kenny finished 3rd at 104 lbs.  Kyle Morden finished 3rd @ 110.  Logan Feigal finished 2nd @ 116.  Carl Kelley was 5th at 122.  Jesse Phillips finished 5th at 128.  Matt Kelly finished 4th at 134.  Joe Cung won the 142 lbs division.  Jake Masengale won the 150 lb. class.  Keanu Cooper finished 2nd @ 160.  Cody Smith won the 172 lb. division.  Wesley Bernard finished 2nd @205 and Donte Winfield finished 2nd at 245.  Ohio limits their heavyweight class at 245 lbs.  Good Job Mustangs!
