cadet130 Posted December 6, 2011 Share Posted December 6, 2011 Nick Viterisi, a graduate of Bloomington South, won the Simpson Invitational this past weekend in Indianola, IA. He went 5-0 on the weekend and defeated the 4th, 7th, and 11th ranked NAIA wrestlers. The 4th ranked DIII wrestler did not place in the weight class. cadet130 Posted December 12, 2011 Author Share Posted December 12, 2011 Viterisi placed 3rd at the Newman Jet Invite yesterday in Wichita, KS. He lost to Basks from Labette (for the second time this season). Basks is undefeated on the year. Viterisi smoked Newman's returning tournament champion and NCAA national qualifier Mitch Arnold 12-3. He also placed ahead of Central Oklahoma's Casey Rowell who is ranked 6th in the country in the latest NCAA DII national rankings. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cadet130 Posted January 7, 2012 Author Share Posted January 7, 2012 Viterisi went 3-0 today at the National Duals in Springfield, IL. He defeated BJ Young of Newberry and opponents from Minnesota-Mankato and San Francisco State. Young is the returning National Runner-Up and currently ranked #2 in the country.
