Why do kids quit/miss weight late in the season?

Honestly I think it's because some kids don't believe they can make it out, or simpily it's because they don't have the heart to cut the weight or wrestle under pressure. I know of A kid who cut 5.1 pounds 15-20 minutes before Mishawaka sectionals 1 season ago, and he was only a freshman. Some kids, I know get burned out at the end of the season, but it's not the beginning of the season that giveS you your elite status in the state it's the ending, the 4 weeks to greatness. -

How does Joe Gallegos fall to 7th, he's 28-5 on the season, he has wins over reagan who's at third a 3-0 decisin at N.I.C super duals, and also a 9-3 Decison over Jack Seaman of munster! What's the reasoning?
