  1. The region is comprised of multiple counties though right? Don't take me too seriously, just giving you a hard time. just two, lake and porter. and porter county only has 4 schools that have wrestling programs. I was under the impression that "The Region" was comprised of Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, and Jasper counties. But hey what do I know, I am just a gangsta from Naptown.
  2. This was posted on another thread by mickswife. [glow=red,2,300]No kidding. All of the following (non-Cathedral kids) are holding the posters with 1 finger and/or thumb - so no, "Everyone else" does not have their whole hand on the board: 4th, 5th and 8th place finishes in picture #4 1st place finisher in photo #13 2nd and 6th place finishers (and Steven came darn close to letting one of his fingers slip off - oh no!) in photo #20 5th place finisher in photo #29 6th place finisher in photo #32 4th place finisher in photo #36 2nd place finisher in photo #38 3rd place finisher in photo #39 7th place finisher in photo #42 So can you put this to rest already? It was not some conspiracy. If you don't think these kids have the utmost respect for the sport of wrestling as to not do something so disrespectful, then you are crazy. These kids have worked hard all their lives in this sport, and I'd guess they stand up there with a mixture of pride and disappointment, but I'm guessing disrespect was not on their minds. I can only speculate though, because I've never stood in their shoes. Maybe someone else can enlighten me though.[/glow]
  3. You, my friend are right, it is pointless. I am done.
  4. Well what were there benefits of being a private school in your post. I got the feeling that you were trying to subtly talk about Cathedral recruiting. Correct me if I am wrong, they enrolled in school before they actually moved?
  5. Did you lose some respect for the seventh placer at 125? My guess is you never had any respect for them in the first place.
  6. conceited are we? Sorry no one in the state is as great as the all mighty Cathedral, maybe one day the rest of the Indiana will compete on the same level as Cathedral. Don't worry boyo, you might get there one day. Maybe there will be another set of triplets that you can steal from the poor IPS schools.
  7. Where are these pictures? If what you are claiming is true, then that is disgraceful. However, I am not inclined to believe it unless I see pictures. KKL doesnt think that anyone would grab with their index and thumb. Oh my, how could they?!?!
  8. Ok your right, the transitive property is more likely to work when you have 2 high class teams and one middle tier to low tier team (Cath, PM, Man). Go hang up your trophy, you earned it blah blah blah. Oh, and thanks for getting your dictionary out and telling me how to spell algorithms.
  9. It doesnt work that way, you know it and I know it. Tasseff beat mcginley twice and he got beat by Keon. However gavin beat Keon in the semis. It is all about matchups. This isn't as cut and dry as algebra, there are no algorithems in wrestling.
  10. Come on that is a bit of a stretch isn't it. You can't use mathematical properties in wrestling!
  11. Thorton, if my post was partisan hyperbole, then why are you taking it so literally? Hyperbole is just a figure of speech to convey overstatement. So my comment was at best partisan hyperbole and at worst severely flawed.
  12. Also I believe the score between Stokes and Schaeffer before the fall was 15-5 Stokes. That is also one of those close ones too though, huh?
  13. You are right on two of those, the Poling match could change and the Roytek match could also. However, Grey was in control of Johnson the whole time. I think Johnson also got hit with a point for stalling on bottom. At 152 it was Sullivan controlling that match also, he constantly shooting on wood. I believe they wrestled after that and with the same outcome again. If you want to call those close then you must call the Robinson vs Hoffi match close also. That went Perrys way. Tonte would not catch tony mac in a head lock. Hell he thew about fifteen in the match and couldnt hit with any of them. If we wrestled again we might not pin at 160 but we still win (maybe a major) and the same goes for hvy. Also did Grey wrestle Johnson twice this year?
  14. The close matches in the meet are ones that Cathedral lost.
  15. Perry got destroyed by Cathedral and that is with one of their best wrestlers losing (G. Mcginly). They match up very very very well against Perry! Castle might have been close but I still think they win.
  16. They looked very tired against CP. It had to be tough after wrestling arguably the best team in the state first round. IMO, yesterday they were the 2nd best team, with a better draw they could have won it all. Cp is a hell of a team though, and very deserving of the title. Congrats to the Irish on a great season! Tough luck this year but keep on truckin, you'll get there someday. sidenote:The team State tourney should be seeded somehow, I think both Mishawaka and Cathedral got the shaft on the draws this year.
