In its allignment with MYWA, our state's organization, HYWA, is currently formatting itself in the same manner. As the organization grows, districts will be established to meet the needs of wrestling in Indiana. Each distritct will be responsible for helping grow wrestling in their portion of the state. Kids will have the opprotunity to compete in their region to qualify for state tournaments, or compete in other district to seek different competition. Basically, its a pretty streamlined, efficient process that Michigan has developed, and HYWA is currently attempting to develop. http://www.hywaywrestling.com/

Peru will begin conducting its HYWAY Training Academy the week of March 15. Sessions will be conducted Thursdays, 6-8pm. The first workout will be Thurs., March 18. This is a change from previously posted. Our staff needs to complete its Jr. High season. Guest clinicians will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. HYWA membership will provide coverage. Our kids were already committed to other camps; we're more interested in getting kids onto college campuses so they can see what the next level looks like. In that, we are always willing to travel for good opportunities. Let us know if you're getting anything together and we will entertain the thought. Contact the ISWA, they can fill you in on RTC's. Also get more involved in HYWA, we're in need of district representation as a result of the current growth. You might be better able to service the Marion area through these organizations. Our goal is to make the area better, and we're willing to help anyone out that needs it. By the way, I have connections in the Oak Hill administration, could be of some help in increasing your good standing.

The Golden Eagles have always been invited to the Peru RTC. It's a shame they don't take advantage of it. There's been a great showing of area wrestling working to get better. We go on Thursdays, 6-8pm. Enter door #10. The youth wrestling organizations in Indiana have always been aligned with the sanctions of the IHSAA. No worries.

Due to the NCAA DI Finals later this week the Peru RTC will be canceled this Thursday. Our coaching staff will be indisposed. Open room practice is still on for this Tuesday. RTC practices will continue next week with Clint Gard of Rochester serving as our guest clinician. See posted RTC links for further information.

The Peru Wrestling Club will be hosting its Regional Training Center practices on Thursdays from 6-8pm. Workouts will begin March 5 and continue for every Thursday into May. Clinicians will be announced as they are confirmed. Check periodically for updates. We look forward to hosting many area wrestlers and continuing to help grow Indiana wrestling.
