Here's how I see it
*Schaefer 5th place(former champ) vs. Bittner SQ...possible pin but i will go with tech. 5-0 96
*Jankowski SQ vs. Williams 6th place...toss up IMO...but I will give it to DJ. 8-0 96
*Head 3x state placer vs. Hillenbrand S-SQ...only a major here only cause of Hillenbrands' never quit attitude 12-0 96
*Schaefer 2nd place(2x placer) vs. Macke 3rd place(4x placer)...Another toss up but I like Macke here 12-3 96
*Mayer S-SQ? vs. Coughlin 2nd place(2x runner-up)...not if, its how fast he gets the pin 12-9 96
*Nurrenburn SQ vs. Scott 3rd place(2x placer)...somewhat close cause Nurrenburn was a tough dude, but Scott gets the win 12-12 tie
*Boots 5th place vs. Lehman S-SQ...no bonus points cause Boots wasn't known for getting them, but he would win 15-12 96
*Armentano 4th place vs. Weinzapfel 2x champ, 3x placer...Armentano was just tough enough to keep this to a dec. 15-15 tie
*Kite SQ vs. Nosko 1st place(3x placer)...Kite was tough and Nosko didn't always perform his best at conseco, but he was always was game in duals...I like a fall here. 21-15 03
*Mayer 1st place(2x placer) vs. Wildeman 1st place...Here's where Nick gets his feelings hurt lol. Wildeman was stronger and better on his feet as well as having an awesome turk. Now Nick was great on top and tied people up on his feet, so even though I think Wildeman was strong enough to escape from Nick, I still think Wildeman could take neutral and win...either way a toss up and a dual meet decider. 24-15 03
*Goebel SQ vs. Maurer 3x champ...I think Goebels' heart prevents a pin but he can't keep up on his feet. 29-15 03
*Schroeder S-SQ? vs. J.Coughlin S-SQ...close match but I think Schroeder gets the win. 29-18 03
*Voelker 5th place vs. Unfried SQ...not one match went the distance for Unfried that season, he either got the pin or got pinned. Voelker by pin. 29-24 03
*Eickhoff? vs. Schwartz?...battle of the giants...either could win by fall or decision. I don't believe Eickhoff had a great throw or takedown. Schwartz had a decent headlock...I really don't know here but if Schwartz had to stay off his back I think he could. 29-27 03
All in all its too close to say. Too many toss ups. Whoever had the better day wins this dual. Either way 03 will go down as the best "individual" team with 8 placers, 7 in the top 3, 5 finalists, and 4 Champs...158.5 points at the ind. state meet should stand for a while.
With all that being said I think 2001 should be considered in a dual meet with these two.
