jchas how are ya? and I agree if Lee wrestles all year total tossup, he hasn't, advantage Red

I am doing well,  All is quiet after wresting.  I really can't wait for this match.

If Lee is 100% health I would call this a 50/50 match.  But if he is not.  Red will win,  No 132lb in the country will

stay with Red if they are not 100%.

   Jack Chastain is going to Purdue to study Engineering.  He is not sure what type yet.  Should he apply?

    My son never cut in the off season.  As he got older.  He cut less and less.  This year he did not cut much at all.

I would say 6 lbs at the most this season.  There were many times he was under weight on Friday after practice.

Just had to watch his intake until Saturday morning.

Commings   and  Kelley both win.  Other than that.  I think you got it.

    Jordan Humphrey is great to work with.  He spends a great deal of time working with his guys 1 on 1.

How many guys made it to state and were academic all state? I believe HSE had 3. Holmes, Chastain, and Stansberry.

 

 

jchas, I get your point but part of me also thinks this is leading to the further sissification of America.... I'm middle aged now so maybe I'm getting cynical and tired of the "poor me" attitude.  You know the kind: "it's not my fault, somebody else made me do it."  Should we stop cheering for the winner because it might hurt the losers feelings?  Of course not, but it's really all the same message.

    I kind of get your thinking here but In this case.  I think it is more the...  act like a complete jerk and get my way,  thinking that is

running ramped today.   People are used to being able to say or do what ever they want.  I for one am tired

of the person who eats half their meal and then screams about how bad it is.  Just to try and get it for free.

Or the guy who talks crap and doesn't expect to get hit in the face.   I for one and sick of these people.

I guess the boo at a High School kid guy falls into that category for me.

These are elite athletes who we pay money to go watch.  Just because they are not compensated for their talents, does not make this any different of a situation than the NCAA or professional ranks, and we have no problem booing them.

Man,  You and the Troll must live right next to each other.   Must be something in the water up there.

You pay money so you should be able to boo who ever you want?  You might want to think this one threw a little more!

If you say.......We push a fast pace wrestling style.  I personally think it is great when someone that is tired stops the match, because acid builds up in their muscles and makes them slower. Plus I know that we have broken the wrestler!!!!  I personally think it is classless for coaches and wrestlers that abuse the system by calling injury time also.  So, know if you abuse injury time......YOU ARE THAT GUY!!!

       By the way.  Congrats on your son making it to the finals!

   No one ever said we don't have the right to boo.   We have the right to do a lot of things,

that we choose not to do.  All I am saying.  If you have any class at all.  You will not boo

a 14-18 kid.  It has gotten completly out of hand.  Boo all you want... Just know if you do.

You can't stop people from booing dude.  It happens in every sport at every level.  It is mostly aimed at refs but every once in awhile it is at the athlete.  Yes, maybe the athlete does not deserve it all the time but there are certainly cases where it is warranted.  Stop acting like such a baby and pretending you've never booed anyone.

         Once again,  This post shows.   You are that guy!   And no I have never booed a high school wrestler.

I have yelled at the Ref.  a few times.  OK more than a few.  But my comments are more direct than a boo.

   I will say this. It is up to the Ref. to legislate the rules of the sport.   I may not like

some of the rules.  But they are what they are.   A few minor rule changes would stop

some of the timeout issues.

    As far as booing goes.   We now have Moms, Dads, and Grandmas booing some of the

best wrestlers in our State.   What is worse it was on Fox.   I don't know about the rest of you,

But I found it embarrassing.   So I still have to say... Just STOP!

and I can't understand her half the time either.

  Booing a call is one thing.  But there were a ton of times when people were booing the kid.

How about in the 113 finanls when they booed Hilderbrandt for taking a timeout for a cramp?

He had nothing to gain or loose in that situation by taking time.  But people booed anyway.

Maybe we should go back to calling Refs.  Dumb>>>es.   That might work.

He could stall for 5 minutes and not get called and go on to win a state title by a point or in OT and feel like he actually deserve it. I would boo that kid. I am also booing this thread. Booo thread, Booooo.

Booing is a touchy subject. I addressed this in the hangout. 

 

Maybe we need to develop a "Booing Ethics Code: When it's appropriate to Boo"

Your best wrestler is on the mat at State.  You tell me what he has to do the deserves getting booed?
