Phillips and Campbell are at the same regional. So we may get to witness some true battles, like the wright vs eppert feud over the past three years.

You would have to put Union County at the top of that list. Two returning state champs, but wont contend for a team state title. They do have an outside shot to make the state tournament coming through the Seymor regional though.

Here is a question I haven't been able to find the answer to Before Adams(PM) who was the last HWT to win back to back titles, at heavyweight?

Josh Julian (Lebanon, IL) Wasn't there a Julian @ 112 from Lebanon IN? Is this just a coincidence or possibly a mistake? That would give IN a third 112, which is fairly impressive.

14 individuals with 14 jobs to get a team win. Wrestling is a team sport that relies on individual efforts to accomplish the goal of winning. Without the team aspect individuals rarely reach their goals. Teammates push you in practice and help you get better.

Where is the NHSCA qualifier at this year? I've had several kids go in the past and they all really enjoyed the tournament. One even got a scholarship offer on the spot. So it is attended by coaches, mostly DII and DIII.

Watching the Rockville Rockstar make it to the big show helps remind you anything is possible. I wish him luck on friday. A reminder to all of you who are locks on Friday night, kids with 15 losses can beat those with only 1 so take no one lightly or you could be watching Saturday from the rail.

I agree, Phillips is the real deal. His technique is a little suspect, but his intensity is unmatched. Also has an endless gas tank.

Trygve Henrikson was the fifth qualifier, not Bugni. This regional seems to have improved from last year. Four of the five state qualifiers are back and there are several very good young kids especially at the lower weights. Should be a good weekend.
