  3. i think this is a great idea! I would post it both in the open dates section AND in the regular forum section. I have a feeling many coaches dont "get back here" this deep into the forum to actually see the open dates and read through them. If we had a Varsity Tournament Sticky and a JV Event Sticky that was broken down by semi-state, that would be very helpful. What do you think Y2????
  4. this special pricing has been extended until the end of October, I have changed some of the info above.....
  5. UHM...yeah! catch the Colts in the wrong mood and it could be bad day for business! There are some great ideas here. Alot of them we had already thought about but a few that we hadnt. I'm going to stew over some of these thoughts and see how we can do on a couple of them. Thanks to everyone for the thougths. Keep them coming if you have more.
  6. Info lady- I understand that the clubs have until November 1 to verify dates etc. etc. Last year it seemed that the Elementary Duals info was up sooner than that. I very well could be wrong. Could you give us any insight as to when some info on those events may be posted? I'm assuming that many of those are further along in the scheduling process since they are considered pre-season events. thanks for all you do. Jeff Schaefer Evansville Memorial "Jr. Tigers"
  7. there are some good ideas here without a doubt. there are also some ideas here that prove to me just how tough a project this is. LOL
  8. What clubs are planning on hosting Elementary Duals this year? If you are, and if you have a date, in mind, please post that also. I know the bid meeting is coming up. I'm sure that other clubs, like ourselves, are trying to get some type of schedule figured out and this would be very helpful info. We want to compete in 1 in novemeber, 2 in december, and 2 in january if possible. We would like to host one in Evansville but it seems that most clubs do not want to travel this far south to compete. Jeff Schaefer Evansville Memorial
  9. The singlet special is a Speedline thing. We put together the warmup special just to offer a complete package to anybody who might want a complete Speedline set of warmups and singlets combined.
  10. you have actually already hit on the things we have been considering. The Monument in Indy, The USS Indianapolis, and a few famous people like Mellencamp etc. etc. Your right, Indiana is very limited on items such as this.
  11. EI Sports and Apparel created a USA Singlet last year and we sold a few of them. Overall it was a good thing. We want to create a singlet this year with an INDIANA theme. We have all seen the corn, the Indy Cars, the State Flag symbols, the State Seal etc. etc. We are racking our brains for something fresh. We want to design a singlet and have a few produced and sell them at a few tournaments. Here's your chance to make your mark. If you have any ideas, we want to hear them. You can post them here or email them to me. Whatever. Who creative out there? Who has a good unique idea for a singlet? Help us out and we might even give you a free singlet. Here's the link to the USA Singlet we did. We will be getting our final stock shipment on these in about 2 weeks. http://www.grapplersupplies.com/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=155&osCsid=kirulv999srn9uev4ojvjkeld2 Jeff Schaefer EI Sports eisports@sigecom.net
  12. yes...same singlets as last year can be ordered at this special price.
  13. THE SPEEDLINE SPECIAL BELOW HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL THE END OF OCTOBER BY THE FACTORY. SEVERAL SCHOOLS HAVE ALREADY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THIS OFFER IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS. READ BELOW IF YOUR STILL IN THE MARKET FOR SINGLETS OR WARMUPS FOR THIS YEAR. SPEEDLINE UNIFORMS has now come out with a back to school special also. I'm not sure, but in all the years I have sold uniforms, I cannot ever remember SPEEDLINE doing this. Quite simply, SPEEDLINE is the best quality uniform on the market. Their singlet and warm ups are unmatched in quality and typically the only hurdle in providing them to school is the fact that they cost more and most schools cannot or choose not to afford them. If you are still in the market for singlets for this season and need a great price on a singlet that will last forever from a company that will NEVER DISCONTINUE A STYLE, this might be a great fit for you. Never heard of Speedline or not sure who they are? A few of the programs in the state that I know are wearing Speedline include - Mishawaka, Perry Meridian, Mater Dei, Cathedral, Evansville Reitz, Castle, Evansville Memorial, Princeton, Jasper, Munster, Mt. Vernon, Greenwood, Cascade and many other teams. If you want to wear the best, Speedline is your answer. The factory specials on singlets are below and EI Sports is offering a Speedline Warmup special of our own to make the package complete. CHOOSE FROM STYLE NUMBERS #SW43, SW54, OR SW52. STYLES CAN BE SEEN AT WWW.SPEEDLINEATHLETIC.COM YOU CAN USE THE COLOR MOCK UP CREATOR TO SEE THE STYLES IN YOUR SCHOOL COLORS. PACKAGE PRICE IS $62.95 EACH. PRICE INCLUDES HEAVYWEIGHT OR LIGHTWEIGHT LYCRA (YOUR CHOICE) WITH A 2 COLOR SCREENPRINT IN ONE LOCATION. FACTORY SCREEN SET UP CHARGES ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND EI SPORTS WILL EVEN PAY THE FREIGHT. REGULAR PRICE ON THESE SINGLETS WITH A 2 COLOR PRINT WOULD BE - $76.00 EACH PLUS FACTORY SCREEN SET UP CHARGES. (A SET OF 14 WOULD BE $1095 WITH REGULAR PRICING. THE PRICE FOR 14 WITH THIS SPECIAL IS $881.30) WARMUP SPECIAL - JWC50 OR JWH45 WITH GRAPPLER SERIES PANT AND A LEFT CHEST EMBROIDERED LOGO. - $150.00 PER SET. (REGULAR PRICE - $178.00) (these are the pants that won't tear out in the crotch and seat due to the lycra inserts in those areas) ORDER DEADLINES - SINGLET SPECIAL ENDS OCTOBER 31ST - DELIVERY - 4 WEEKS WARMUP SPECIAL ENDS OCTOBER 31ST - DELIVER 4-6 WEEKS Give me a call if you would like more info on Speedline. I can get a catalog out to you right away or walk you through the online information. They are a great company with a great uniform. Jeff Schaefer 812-474-1836 1-866-590-1836 (toll free)

  16. he has shown our staff and our kids the utmost respect. The staff here is going out of their way in a BIG way to make this a worthwhile cause for our program.
  17. The Memorial Tigers rolled into the Iowa Team Competition Camp this week only to find that there is no air conditioning in the field house or in the the dorms. Our kids were complaining a little but apparently, some other teams were complaining ALOT. One team actually went back home and one team left and found a local hotel to stay in for the week. There was some miscommunication on the part of the Hawkeyes because the flyers and the people that we talked to before the trip told us that there was AC and we told our kids that they did not need fans etc. I guess the camp staff took some pretty good heat from people. So, that brings us to the first session at camp. I'm in the fieldhouse watching the kids getting ready to go. Shoes are being put on, some light stretching etc. There are 16 teams here so its about 200 kids. I look over into the coaches office through the window and see Tom Brands standing there in a pair of sweatpants and a long sleeve tee shirt. Then I see him put on a hoody, followed by a full zip nylon ASICS warmup top. At this point I am putting two and two together and figure that Coach Brands is about to make a point. The campers jog for about 5 minutes then Coach Brands calls them into a big circle. He begins by welcoming everyone to camp then proceeds to tell everyone that apparently there was some miscomunication on the part of his camp staff and that he is sorry for that. Then he goes into....HOWEVER, whats the big deal??? We are wrestlers, we are here to get tougher, and a little heat will be good for us. What?? are you gonna call your mommy and go home cuz its hot? Is that all it takes to break your spirit? This goes on for a few minutes as he is putting his hoodie up, pulling the strings tight, and tying it up snug around his head. At one point, he looked over at Coach Schwab and said he was kinda chilly and asked if Coach Schwab had a jacket he could borrow. It was classic. The line of the tirade came at the end...he said something like. "Heck, 150 years ago, we would be sleeping out on the prarie. We wouldn't have any AC! We would be in the blazing hot sun all day, and sleeping on the ground at night. We would be sleeping with...heck, I dont know....rattlesnakes...yeah rattlesnakes and uhm.....rattlesnakes and SKUNKS!." It was funny as hell. The session was two hours long and he ran the guys into the ground. The entire time, he was dressed the same way. The hood never came down and he sweat completely through his Champion sweats and through the nylon Jacket. They guy is simply The Man! Pure and simple. I thought I would share this story....hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed watching it unfold. By the way, our kids havent complained one time since that first session.
  18. Does anybody know where I can buy a wrestling mat cover? I think one of the brands is called "white raven" or something along those lines? I have an old beat up mat that I want to purchase a cover for so i can put a section of it in my basement. I have googled and googled and havent found much. anybody got any info for me?
