  1. ff's equal a pin. Of course in team points, ff = fall in POINTS, but as a wrestler I know it is bummer to go out and get your arm raised due to a lack of an opponent. It is always much more gratifying to mop the mat with someone and then get the credit for a win. In fact a local freshman sensation here practically ran off the mat after receiving a forfeit. He was quite visibly upset and disappointed. It is LUDICROUS to suggest that a win by forfeit is as noteworthy as a win by fall on the Mat. Obviously in seeding a tournament, you need to consider whether the wins were "ON the Mat" or just "IN the Book." A guy who is 27-3 with no wins by forfeit, is probably more formidable than a guy who is 27-3 with eight of those wins being by forfeit. DOES THE IHSAA in posting the records record actual ON THE MAT competition, or do they include in their totals points awarded to a team in a case where there was NO ON THE MAT competition? I am interested in knowing that.
  2. I will punch these in after I get the results from that sectional, tonight, I HOPE
  3. I have all of these in the list except King. I will fix that on the list. And the sectional results posted on the IHSAA site shows that the record for Hiestand is is 29-2, that is my source, so to supersede this I will need some basis.
  4. I am somewhat provincial in my knowledge of names and persons. If you could provide the grade, and the school name for the wrestlers in question, that would help me to track down the information and emend the list.
  5. I have thoroughly updated the list, as found in the first post of this thread.
  6. A Listing of Wrestlers with 3 or Less Losses, based on results posted at IHSAA site Win records not exceeding .500 are excluded There is no indication whether or not forfeits are included in totals. 8. I have seen Plymouth a couple of times this season, and Giant Killer Justin Deurloo pinned our guy in less than a minute back in December. He did not wrestle in the conference tournament on Saturday the 24th. Anyone else know the answer?
  9. The final ?Round Robin? conference standings left three teams tied for fifth place. FIRST: Memorial was first (13-0 overall/7-0 NLC) with 16 points SECOND: Goshen (20-3/5-2) 13 THIRD: Northridge (14-4/5-2) 12 FOURTH: Concord (15-7/5-2) 11. Then the three-way tie for fifth FIFTH: NorthWood (7-12/3-4) 6 FIFTH: Plymouth (14-11/2-5) 6 FIFTH: Warsaw (13-8/1-6) 6 EIGHTH:Wawasee (7-23/0-7) 2
  10. Can anyone let me know how the season standings shook out for the Northern Lakes Conference? I posted the results of the tournament AND the season records, but where does that leave things as far as the round robin results? I missed getting a copy of that information at the event. I found the round robin results and will show that on the results page

  15. What was the greatest success of a team that took SECOND in the individual sectional as far as advancing in the TEAM competion? In that previous format did any team ever advance beyond the regional? BY the way the IHSAA calendar at the official site still shows the team semi-states as taking place on Wed Feb 11. http://www.ihsaa.org/calendar/DeskGlance%2008-09.pdf I wrote to them about correcting that.
  16. I am seeing correctly from the IHSAA site that the route to the championship involves only the Sectional (Individual competion), then a Regional, then Finals at Center Grove, with no semi-state. Apparently only the team with the highest score advances to the Regional, not first and second as in years past? http://www.ihsaa.org/b-wrestling/2008-09/0809TeamRegionals.htm
