  1. Well of course they would be upset. I honestly had a hypothetical intention. I apologize if I stepped on any toes. I was just asking for clarification on that move-in. Now I know and I thank everyone for not getting heated or upset. I am not entirely sure that Thatcher's move-in was not entirely for academic reasons. Who can dispute that other than himself and his family. Lets not start pointing fingers. These are high school athletes, but students first. After all, the education is what is going to get each and every high school athlete where they want/need to be after their wrestling season is over. They cannot make a living off of wrestling. We are all here for the wrestlers and to support them, rivalry high school or not.
  2. I worded that wrong lol. I read a post earlier about all kinds of move-ins to Yorktown, but it must have been deleted. What I meant by the bolded quote you had from my previous post is that an alleged Bellmont fan posted about all these people that moved in to Yorktown and all but VanHorn moved in before high school, which would have been the same (except for VanHorn) as allegedly Thatcher moving in to Bellmont. However, I am not making any accusations (I want to make this very clear lol) and if he had a parent graduate from there, that adds another dimension. If Billy Baker had transferred to his dad's alma mater, Yorktown (correct me if I am wrong), would that have been the same thing or would that have been a negatively displayed because of the rivalry? (again hypothetically speaking)
  3. I'm not trying to point any fingers or make any accusations, but I heard a rumor recently that Travis Thatcher transferred to Bellmont from Adams Central his freshman year (which i realize is significantly closer than Franklin to Yorktown). Again, this is a rumor and I have no facts to back it up, but if it is true, that would eliminate any argument about recruitment at Yorktown from Bellmont fans except VanHorn. Does anyone have any information on this? Again, this is by word of mouth. I am simply looking for answers and truth here. If I am wrong, then I am ready to accept that. I just want to hear this. Also, I am not taking a stab at Bellmont for doing so (assuming this rumor is true). That would be ignorant of me.
  4. Congratulations to Bellmont on two tough wins tonight. I didn't grow up in the rivalry, but I have come to "adopt" it. I enjoy every one of the individual matches of each and every dual between these two. It was a tough loss as a Yorktown assistant tonight, but no one can fault the effort on either side. Faurote is a class act.

  6. anyone have any predictions on how the tournament is going to go this year? will delphi and bc continue the front running of the conference or will there be any sleepers? anyone have any input on the individual tournament?
  7. I think that's called moose knuckle...your butt is on the other side of your hips if you remember from way back when you could see down there ;D
  8. What did Travis do at the end of the match? I didn't catch it
  9. THANKS COACH MCCORMICK!!! you are a great coach and i am going to do my best to lear everything i can from you and Coach Dulaney during my time as a Ball State student.
  10. how about predictions? i think nelson and the kid from tech will be the championship at 103 but its hard to tell this year i think the lc sectional will still have more advance but after looking at the brackets, i think that sectional is a little down considering the depth they've had in the past
  11. Lovitt needed to have 6 weigh-ins in Indiana. Since Noblesville had a meet cancelled last week, he did not get the 6th weigh-in in before the sectional draw 01/26. curentwrestler
  12. i don't believe so..hopefully he has changed his mind. he would do well in the ncaa i think.
  13. oh ya i forgot about hamilton heights!! sorry haha i'd put them in third. and i would have to disagree on tri-central. although they and tipton are very close this year..i think tc has beat tipton 2-1..i don't see them having any champs except maybe pyke. and that makes up for alot of points
  14. thoughts? i think the top 3 teams will be: 1)pendleton heights (very impressive) 2)anderson highland close behind 3)noblesville didn't lose many guys last year. after this it kinda drops off any info on other teams? individuals? i think 19 is a lock with eppert. i think berryman will win and also bennet
  15. i don't know a whole lot about individuals since we don't wrestle much before the conference tournament so help me out with predictions!! team predictions: 1. delphi-easy 2. benton central 3. tipton 4. west side 5. rennssellaer (sp.) 6. twin lakes 7. sheridan but who for individual champs? anyone have a guess? we're 5 days away ***Brackets*** http://indianamat.com/brackets/2009/hoosier2009.pdf
