This has been a debate for a long time...and has lead to a few anti-climactic Team State finals. That being said...I think it's a moot point, it's undoubtedly not going to change.

Good Luck @ Team State. Rep the south well. Wrestle the way you know how and you'll find yourselves where So. IN wrestling belongs...on the center mat, championship round. Congrats on the win...now go get the title!

On www.broadcastsport.net, they have a winners list (left hand side). It is showing there that Castle is beating Jeff 30-13 after 13 matches...looks like Castle's going to Team State! -

This now ties Mater Dei and Bellmont with most Team State appearances. They have now each not made it one year. Bellmont not making it in 1997. Such an amazing feat though I must admit, not many teams can say that about themselves. I agree. It is simply amazing to see one team do it, but to see two teams hang in there that long, year after year, it's definitely awe-inspiring...and provides lots of fodder for the bulletin boards in wrestling rooms all over Indiana. Now someone please tell me if Castle beat Jeff?!? -

Catle won by @ 20 I think. That was at the Castle 5-way....but Jeff looked good all day there. I've been checking IHSAA to see if any updates, but none yet. They do have several Regionals posted though @: http://www.ihsaa.org/b-wrestling/2008-09/0809TeamRegionals.htm -

Castle won 29-16...see the other thread (Castle v. MD #2). I know Henderson won. Last I heard the score Henderson was up 5-0 in the 1st. He decisioned.

Rankings begin with your ranking from last year...your ranking does not go down (usually) until you've gotten beat. MD finished #2 last year and remained undefeated until tonight, so there was no reason for them not to remain ranked @ #2. I don't think there was ANYONE on this board who didn't think Castle had a shot...they are the real deal this year...and I never heard anyone disputing that. Reitz, Mt. Vernon, Jeffersonville...all are also solid teams. I'm just glad to see So. IN steppin' it up!

Looks like MD won @ 119. Makes the score (for what it's worth)...29-13 Castle. Henderson is winning 5-0 @ 125, so MD should pull off at least one more win...but that just wasn't enough tonight.

Jeff hung with MD & Castle @ the Castle 5-way earlier in the year. They've got a shot, but I think Castle will get it done...they've got to be on a total high right now.

MatChick do you have indiv results of Jeff and Southridge? Sorry, I don't. Go to www.broadcastsports.net. They're scrolling the scores down the side. I was just told Jeff was wrestling Castle in the finals.

Castle is winning 29-10. They're @ 119 now...so I guess the post should have read...Castle wins...there's no way MD can pull it out. Looks like Castle & Jeff in the finals.

I just heard MD is losing 10-3. They started @ 130. Zenthoefer won. They've just started 152. That's all I know.

Didn't Meurer from Mt. Vernon pin Wade earlier in the year; and for Boots to beat Choate Boots has to first beat Georges Boots is pretty darn good. He beat Choate at Sectionals. Not sure if he's ever wrestled Georges.

After Sectionals, I'm not counting anybody out!

It was a great game...exciting to the end. Wold've liked to see the Cards win...but they beat themselves with all those penalties. I think they did review the last play...but from where I was watching, he toe tapped with both feet...a great catch and an exciting ending to the Super Bowl.
