112: Goebel (MD) vs. Ervin (UC) If anybody is to knock off Ervin it will be Sam Goebel. Goebel is a stud and I think that in front of a huge home crown with MD perfect holiday classic record on the line I think Goebel will pull off the upset.

This looks to be a very interesting tournament with multiple state and nationaly ranked wrestlers competing. What tough matchups are there? What tough wrestlers are there? Mt. Vernon lost a couple matches to Harrison? Did Mt. Vernon forfeit 2 weights or what? I thought they would shut out Harrison.

According to the newspaper Mastison is going 112.

That is a very good question. As we are only days away from the Turkey Classic where are some studs at? According to the evansville paper a very interesting match-up could be at 119 ac Cody Kendle should face off against James Braye of North. To see where some studs are. I think we should list what weights the studs of each team are at. The ones that I know are: Pike Central: 119-Cody Kendle North: 103: Conner Aldridge 119:James Braye Central: 119: Lorenzo Turi Any others that I am missing?

I believe that Andrew Konrath is a better wrestler than Cody Kendle. I'm not saying Kendle isn't good. I'm just saying that in my opinion Konrath has better technique than Kendle.

I don't think any body will be able to compete with Cody Kendle this year at the Turkey Classic. I think it will be just like last year where he dominated everybody he wrestled at the Turkey Classic. He is by far the 2nd best wrestler at this tournament.

Mount Vernon, North, Central, Pike Central, Gibson SOuthern, Tell City, Tecumseh, Harrison, and Wood Memorial are a few I remember. Who all is North gonna have this year? Will they be able to challenge Mount Vernon for the title?

Lock for which weight class? 112 or 119? If so that could be an interesting conference, regional, semi-state, and possibly state.

I might go with Logan Wedding from Memorial at 119 over Welch. They have had several great matches over the years and I think Wedding has the upper-hand.

That is true. But it all depends on who they match up with, there draw, and how the season goes for them. All it takes is one little slip and they don't make it out of sectionals. I still predict them to be 5th. My predictions: MD R ME CA CE N H B

I'm sorry. I have seem to have forgot that Turi from Central will also be in the mix at 112. But man! Wedding (ME), Johns ®, Welch (CA), Goebel (MD), Braye (N) and now Turi (CE). I feel bad for whoever Harrison and Bosse throw out at 112.

112 could be a doozy again with Wedding, Johns,Welch, Goebel, and Braye all fighting for that top 4 in the SIAC.

Who does North have coming back that could shake up the SIAC?

My individual picks are: (going off what I have heard) 103: Kuhn ® or Little Brown (CA) 112: Wedding (ME) or Goebel (MD) 119: Welch (CA) 125: Moody ® 130: Brown (CA) 135: Dowdy ® or Schroeder (MD) 140: Rueger ® 145: Prasek (ME) 152: Welch (CA) 160: Welch (CA) 171: Boots (MD) 189: Sandwith (ME) 215: Van Winkle (MD) 285: up for grabs Team: Bosse- another down year Castle- returns the Welch boys and now has TWO Browns. Will be good but not good enough for an SIAC title. Central- new coach. new kids. Young team. Possible upseting Castle. Harrison- Losing alot of kids. Returns 1 of 5 wrestlers from the regional last year. Mastison is really going to have to pull off some upsets if he wants to place in the conference and help the Warriors. Mater DEi- Will lead the SIAC and win it. Returns to the top of SOuthern Indiana. Memorial- Will be better than last year. Full team with multiple guys having a shot at state. North- lost its one stud from last year. Rookie coaching staff. Reitz- Will place 2nd or 3rd in the SIAC. Several should be at Conseco and win titles here.

What about the individual part of the tournament? Lightweight studs Hall and Kuhn are gone. Will Vanhook make 103 again and take over the SIAC? Will Wedding and Welch be battling it out in the finals at 112 with Goebel not to far off of them.
