I see Austin McCloskey as well as Logan Wedding will be there. Any other hoosier grapplers plan on going? Also, do high school wrestlers not have to wrestle in a qualifying tournament to wrestle?

With the SIAC being only a couple weeks away, what are some thoughts and predictions? I see Castle's gym being packed as Mater Dei and Reitz battle it out for an SIAC title.

106: Reitz major (R 4-0) 113: MD pin (MD 6-4) 120: MD decision (MD 9-4) 126: MD decision (MD 12-4) *this is assuming that Van Hook does not wrestle. if he does I give it to Reitz by decision. 132: R major (MD 12-7) 138: MD pin (MD 18-7) 145: R decision (MD 18-10) 152: R pin (MD 18-16) 160: MD decision (MD 21-16) 170: R major (MD 21-20) 182: MD major (MD 25-20) 195: MD major (MD 29-20) 220: R pin (MD 29-26) 285: MD decision (MD 32-26) I see it coming down to whether or not Gideon Van Hook is able to wrestle or not.

North and Central have some studs to watch out for. North: Aldridge, Dickens, Campbell, and Lane lead a very powerful North team Central: Turi, Oakley, Kelley and Kemper lead an equally powerful Central team.

Tim Dunkel is no joke. He is a tremendous young man and a fine wrestle. Now for all you idiots who called me an idiot. I told Johns and Goebel were and are the top 2 112s in the SIAC, sectional and regional. Mastison's luck finally ran out as he got demolished by Shepherd from Jeffersonville. If there is any "joke" as a wrestler down south it is him. He didn't deserve to make it out of sectionals. If he was at any school besides Harrison and Bosse he wouldn't even be varsity. If only Turi didn't get hurt he would have been at semi-state again.

Are the coaches trying to pad his record to get him a better seed for the tournaments?

So you should agree that Johns is the better wrestler of the 2. Mastison doesn't really wrestle. He just backs up then waits to get on top and just ride you out the whole time. He should have been warned for stalling 6 or 7 times. He stalled the whole 1st period on his feet then he never tried to turn Johns. He set on top and didn't attempt to turn Johns. No, I'm saying that both times they have wrestled the refs have been terrible. At the Harrison 10-way all the refs were terrible the same as they were at the Central Sectional. Everytime they wrestle the refs never hit Mastison for stalling. If Mastison can somehow actually wrestle and pull-out an UPSET over Johns with GOOD refs then I would give Mastison some credit but he has been getting a lucky draw and and pulling off luck and beating Johns. He is the one that got lucky that Turi got hurt not Braye. If Turi could wrestle Mastison would be sitting at home.

Johns continued to be the aggressor and he took shot after shot and Mastison looked like a track star out there running away from Johns. If the refs would do there job Johns would be in the regional finals against Goebel. But because the refs at both the Harrison 10-way and the Central sectional don't know what they were doing Mastison lucked his way to a victory. When Johns and Mastison wrestle and there is a GOOD ref Johns will destroy him.

It's a shame that the draws put the top 2 112's on the same side in Johns and Goebel. Look for both of them to be wrestling at Conseco this year.

I agree with all of these except for 112 and 125. At 125 I think Moody will be in the finals. and at 112 I think Braye will be Mastison and take 3rd. Braye was about to beat Mastison at the SIAC until Mastison got lucky and caught him. Braye out wrestled Mastison for the entire match.

I agree. Johns and Van Hook are gonna have a tough time in the semis with Goebel and Wedding.
